Was just thinking about that. They won 5A in 1993 and then came down to 4A in 1994 and walked all over Morris 28-0 in the title game.
I remember going out there in 1988 for the Wheaton Central/ Belvedere game it was one of the first big wins for the Tigers, Belvidere played hard nosed old school football they were really good.

Real MVP tonight was Tracks Tavern by the Cary Metra station. Outstanding burger & fries! If you ever make it to Cary hit them up for lunch, dinner, drinks, etc. Great service too!

I feel like they lost that game in the 3rd when they took 15min off the clock down 3 scores. And they really had no urgency to run plays. I still don't get why you would want your qb to run an extra 40yards between plays instead of signaling plays in.
Ive never understood this either... especially running the triple option.

The 1993 game was my fav when they knocked off Phil Acton's D1 loaded Raiders 7-0. One of the hardest hitting games ever.

I’m from the Cary Grove area so root for them in the playoffs but what a great win for BN. Seems like their fans and kids most importantly are really excited. They are saying biggest win in
program history. That’s awesome for them. Will be rooting for them moving forward

That was a great game. Flew home from Seattle when I was in the Navy to see that game. And eat some Thanksgiving dinner with the family. But I hadn’t been home for Thanksgiving for 4 years. I’m going to guess it was the football game.
