I thought for sure just playing Valley would cost us a few spots. As far as opponents, Vandy, South Carolina, and Tennessee also won, and Auburn lost. So we moved up from #24 to #22. #22 is currently the 6th best RPI in the SEC.

This is the page I like to use to see the SEC Standings andState's and the rest of the SEC's RPIs at the same time, and it updates not too long after each game is over : http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2011/conference/SEC

Of course a lot more goes into the RPI than just who we played and what we did last night. Even losing to MVSU,it's not surprising that wepassed Auburn who lost to Samford. Maybe someone else just above us lost too. Also, there may have been a group of teams clustered real close together at say #20-#24 with us at #24, and then a pretty big gap to the #25 team. This would make is easier to move up than to move down no matter who we played.

...a double header would have used too much of our pitching staff with the Bear series starting tomorrow.
