One of the out of state OL? It’s not cross, he just announced a signing day decision.

Yep, it's Charles Cross from Laurel. The former FSU commit. He's now the 2nd highest ranked commit on our board, behind Nathan Pickering, and ahead of Charles Moore. Puts us up to # 16. Knocking on the door of a top 15 class.

It’s amazing what happens when your head coach is:

1. An extrovert who doesn’t mind getting out and seeing people, meeting families, remembering names, and genuinely caring about the kids (and parents) he’s recruiting.

2. Hires a staff full of guys who dont mind getting out and seeing people, meeting families, remembering names, and genuinely caring about the kids (and parents) they’re recruiting.

Don’t think for a second that the shitbirds aren’t up to many of their old tricks.......they have many issues but the ability and willingness to recruit dirty ain’t one of them.....

May be stupid question: why do you say the bell just rang? Is there some kind of notification when a kid commits? Just curious.

Nick Saban is one of the biggest introverts out there.

What?!?!?

If Mullen were our coach we would have gone 11-1 and currently have the number three recruiting class in the country**

NSD should be done by then shouldn't it? At least for our current commitments.

So now that theres talent hes gonna win? As opposed to the crap he inherited in a down sec west year?

Show me how many offensively-minded college football head coaches who were an assistant the year before, took the team they inherited, implemented their offensive philosophy and had more than 8 wins in their opening season or were as successful as you thought they should be. Be sure and factor in a SR QB that did not go through the spring and a group of WRs that either had not played at D1 level or be great in their previous seasons.

Tom Herman’s first year as a P5 coach went 7-6. You can scratch off Jumbo - he didn’t implement a new system, he was already the OC at FSU. You can scratch Dabo off too for the same reason, but after he took over he went 4-3, lost 5 games, then lost 7 games. Gus is the only one who overpreformed, but even he didn’t have to install a new system. He coached the offense, left for a year and came back. Same system. So of your 4 examples, none compare to Moorhead. And I am not even close to a Moorhead defender. I still iffy on him.

lol. Ok. Didnt know there was a p5 limitation. No ones situation is ever the same. That alone limits the potential universe bc most schools hiring in p5 with any chance at 8 wins dont hire assistants. But Lets not act like we were asking him to teach physics to some english majors

I honestly dont care that much but i just think there are plenty of comparable examples that answered his questions. Im sure there are plenty of others

The early NSD is before we leave and most of our guys are signing then. The couple that are waiting aren’t big worries either.
