You understand he is injured right? That is why he is not wrestling every match or is that not obvious to everyone with a functioning brain?
Yet the Iowa medical staff cleared him to wrestle. If I have learned anything from Corby and the like it is that if the Iowa team Doctors say you are healthy you are good to go. Mo sought better medical advice and was booted. BK probably wasn't given a choice.

I was actually being facetious. I even pointed out that many of my posts are INTENDED to annoy the exact person I responded to. I was literally responding to someone that said that no one likes me or my posts. What better jab as response would there be?

I am admittedly a bit of a lead foot, so brake checking really isn't something I have ever needed to do. Now, have I been brake checked??...even deservedly so????......that is entirely possible!

Not surprised it went over your head but it was a play on the word “rebut” that I was responding to…
I highly doubt there is anything you could say that would be over my head. Educate yourself already lol.

Does he have a new injury? Because the last time I checked the hip is not considered upper body.

He had surgery to fix the hip. He sustained another injury during the Tenn Chat meet. Reminds me a lot of McDonough's SR year injury- if not the same thing- half the horsepower upstairs. My guess is a torn labrum which I have done. You can wrestle through the dull pain but you are careful to not get too high with it for the shooting sharp pain. Thats the worst and its in your mind. But you cant even pull yourself up on a raft in a pool. Forearms, biceps are still strong but you cant really move a guy which explain no shots out of tie ups. And no confidence in reaching out and winning a scramble unless you can get his leg on your chest. You wouldn't need a brace if its a full tear as you cant hurt it anymore. Plus a brace is a bullseye.

I am sure it will come out after the season. If he is going to AA again imo his feet are going to have to be moving.

Others would know better than me, but only an imbecile would not realize something else is going on with Ben. He isn't moving well and isn't as good as he was even last season.
Hey Spooner - f you. I asked a question and you’re the last person that needed to answer.

IDK, a shoulder labrum tear would almost certainly require a shoulder harness to prevent dislocation. Also not keeping that shoulder in place would endanger the rotator cuff.

That’s a lot of words just to say you don’t know what you are saying. You acknowledged his AKA kids won’t come to Iowa because of him but then say his comments don’t move the needle in recruiting…?

He dislikes the Brands and the un-knowledgeable fans that scream stalling after four seconds of Iowa collar tying and pushing. If you think he doesn’t hold influence over impressionable young recruits, then that’s a reflection of your knowledge.

They don’t come to Iowa because Askren tells them not to. They don’t come to Iowa because Brands refuses to have a relationship with Askren at all. And he’s not the only club coach who gets that treatment.

Who are the current AWA guys in college? Are they even good though?

I think the problem isn't that he is hurt. It is that he was hurt, and now he doesn't have the extra 100 pounds on his squat, and deadlift. I'm sure he wasn't squatting heavy after a hip operation.

Same with Drake…does he have any injuries that you know of because he isn’t even as good as last year either?

I think Drake has wrestled pretty good this year. His scrambling has improved and the matches the lost to ISU and Wisc are easily turned around. Now the fact that there are 3 amazing, I would almost call generational talents as freshman at 133 this year, is what has made Drake look like a shelf his former self. IMHO

He actually wrestled 2 of the 3 pretty tough.

Holy hell.

Let me guess: you also think the program is in great shape?
Not at all. I think the program is at a dangerous tipping point and if changes are not made, it will become like OSU was the past 10 years. However, Drake has been scrambling much better and moving well. He had a couple tough losses which I would put him as the favorite the next time they wrestle. Mainly Fugitt from Wisc and Frost from ISU. If you remember correctly, Drake was winning a scramble when time ran out against Frost. Had he gotten a few more seconds, he goes int the next period in good shape and looking to get a major decision.

Losing to Forrest, Blaze, and Davino is not unusual. These guys are pretty elite.

Just because you lose a match, it does not mean you are wrestling poorly. He is wrestling to his ability and skill level. Those 3 freshman are just up a level. I think he will avenge 2 of his losses, if he sees those guys again.
We will have to wait and see.
