Well that "crap offense" you mentioned is running quite well thank you at Georgia Tech right now. Ask Florida State if they think its crap. Whats crap is a spread offense where a coach cant even call a play into the huddle he has to call one, then call another and sometimes another. Triple option has been a well-respected offense for years. Used to be very popular.

I like our chances, Bearsfan, don't get me wrong. I also have no doubt that Huntley did practice it every week just in anticipation of the CG game; in fact I think Coach Hart admitted it after the game. I don't know much about Benet outside of what I've read here and online, and I checked out their scores on IHSA.org. They won some close games this year and they did beat JC this year.

I also think Sullivan has played well, and Collins did a nice job as QB last week showing an extra burst of speed at QB when he kept the ball. He also threw some nice balls when he had to. To quote Newt from 2009, Krebs was a magician as QB and we just don't have that this year as this is Sullivan's first year running the O and Krebs was a freak and Baker was not far behind him in that respect. Team has exceeded expectations this year and the coaching staff has done a great job getting the team ready. I expect they will be ready this weekend as well.
This team isn't as good as the teams we've had in the previous years , this team wasn't hyped at all because of all the graduated seniors from last year's team ,so a lot of people didn't know much about the players from the class of 2016. These kids can play..

This team has a good mix of Juniors and Seniors playing. Couldn't say that in 2010 or 2013 when you have 10-12 seniors on the entire roster. This years team fits the same mold as those 2007 and 2008 teams, overlooked but those guy just kept winning games.

Nobody said anything about wining I just hate that crappy Triple option and I don't know why any kid that plays any skill position would like to play in that crap.nobody is denying that is effective and successful in some programs, but IMO it's a crappy offense period.

After playing in the triple option as a skill position player, I disagree. I think as an RB or slot in the offense you have to be much more polished and complete. A good Triple slot needs to be able to recognize who/where the reads are, have a quick first step to insert on a MAC for the FB, and obviously the skills to run the ball. Plus, have the selflessness too accept that you share the ball with 4 other players and blocking for them is more important than your ypc.

So my question is does PR have a chance vs MCHS. Whether its on the MCHS turf or PR crown.

If they both make it to the semis it will be at MCHS.

I should have clarified. I meant Navy, Army, Air Force, the service academies with guys playing at 250-260 against 290-300 pound D1 lineman...

Not Mt. Carmel or Cary-Grove....There isn't a lack of talent with those programs.
For the 2006 8A championship, MC looked undermanned against WWS, somewhat like a Nebraska playing Miami (FL) or a high-octane BYU circa 1988. Mind you, that was the only time I saw them flat footed. Part of Nebraska's problem in the Osborne era, is that they over-stocked on running backs, couldnt get #s at DB and would end up converting a lot of I-backs into DBs.

Yeah I expect them to win by at least 2 scores, and advance to the quarters

As does holding bums to 6 points a game...
Let's just hope these 2 bum teams meet in the semis but that's a long time from now becuase of course they have to both win there games but if they happen to win there games then your PR team can run up the score on the Montini bums LORD PLEASE MAKE THIS GAME HAPPEN!!!!

PR is not "my" team, but FVC team so always root for them despite the fact that they are a rival of CGs. Yes, I hope it happens as well and yes, they both need to win "their" games.

Its wishful thinking and way way to far down the road to even be talking about these 2 teams playing each other but I'm pretty sure PR and Montini would love to see each other down the road.lets just see how they both do this wknd.the LF/PR game should be a good one and the MCHS/KANELAND should be a good won as well.

Rather hold bums to 6 points than run up the score and still get scored on with that trash triple offense u guys run
It's not trash when it's getting you wins
CG 90-9 in the regular season since 2004
With 4 state finals appearances. Amazing for a PUBLIC school

LZ has not been a triple-option team since DiMatteo left.

Stortz took over and followed a run-first philosophy, mostly hybrid Wing-T out of DW set. Used Brinlee in the pistol/spread too. Was multiple as he schemed to his personnel strengths as good coaches do.

The confusion between their, there, and they're occurs because the three words are pronounced in very similar ways. If the word means "belonging to them," use their. If you're able to replace the word with "they are," use they're. Otherwise, there is only one correct answer: there.

Really? You must not like winning. There's a lot of different ways to skin a cat. Please look at Cary Grove, Mt. Carmel, Prairie Ridge, the service academies that win games despite being completely undermanned along the lines and at the skill positions...

Ummmmm... no team, year in and out, is as stout as MtC on the lines and at the skill positions.

I've already said this before it's a beautiful thing to watch when it's runned flawlessly but IMO it's a trash offense and 2 gimmicky for my taste, that doesn't mean it's not successful by any means I just personally hate it that's all.
