So CFR declined 2% to .3% in UK with more widespread vaccinations. Vaccinations that are now receding. Recent study shows around 40% effectiveness for Pfizer and that will get worse. Compounding the issue, Covid is quite clearly spreading rampantly again.

So, no, it’s not all roses and rainbows. It’s pretty awful honestly
It's not a bit awful for me. If you want to weep and wail about it, quite frankly, that's on you. Booking a vacation for Florida in a day or two.

The recent study, by the way, is horseshit. I'd recommend Monica Ghandi or Sailorooscoot Twitter for actual expert analysis of this. A CFR drop of 2% to .3% translates to about 700 fewer deaths in the UK per day, by the way. And, even if the "40%" number was true, that has to do with cases, not deaths, and has no effect on death mitigation.

I knew that as soon as the vaxes became universal, that the lefties like yourself, would join the Q Anon in becoming anti-vax. I predicted it months it ago, and I was right. Coronabros are nothing, if not predictable.

You’re making a lot of assumptions here broseph. I live in Florida part of the year and have literally traveled to every coast and region of US in past 5 weeks. I’m not worried about myself.

So it's more about a desire to administer the jackboot than about personal fear, with you? That's actually even worse.

It’s not a game of gotcha my man. We are just having a conversation and I’m stmy opinion. Perhaps one reason I don’t think masks are a big deal is because I’ve been on a plane so much and have been to places like NY and LA where they are commonplace.

And you can take people in NYC and act like it’s because they are irrational liberals... but really it’s because they live on top of each other and the place got hammered by it last year.

By the way, congrats for sounding exactly like a Q Anoner. They are loving that "40%" crap as much as you are.
Hey, I even read studies that I don’t like. mRNA vaccines by all measures have a time limit and we are seeing people with covid get it multiple times.

What this really means is that the next debate isn’t masks... it’s about the boosters

Majority of people got vaccinated around 3-5 months ago. That means majority of vaccinated will have waning effects of vaccine as covid escalates in winter.

As effective as vaccines have been, in Israel, there are 40 times as many breakthrough cases as there are actual reinfections. Granted, there are a higher number of vaccinated people than previously infected people there, but it sure isn't 40 times as high- maybe 4 or 5 times as high.

Ahh yes, the never ending debate on how to force people to do things instead of letting them decide for themselves. One thing to the next in this new and disguisting nanny state.

That is a very speculative statement. If true, then those who want them will have access to boosters. We will be weeks past Delta peak by then, anyway.

Probably. The Rt is already in steep decline in the current hotspots.
Except that annually viruses tend to spread in winter and decline in summer. Fact we are seeing incline in summer might suggest we will see even worse spike in winter

I'm just glad I got Andy to tell me how to raise my child otherwise I'd be too stupid to do it without him.
Andy knows best. He let’s a perverted old man (who wasn’t masked lol) get handsy with his son and slip him a dirty mask.

I can't imagine the misery of having to live under a governor like Andy. If I did live up there my children would be in private schools even if I had to hold down three jobs.

I went to the U.S. Post Office this morning and the men and women at the counter were maskless. They are government employees and took off the masks. Kentuckians it does not have to be this way.

It is total foolishness to overreact to a virus that is 99% non deadly.

Unlike "Dr." Ding, here is an actual expert on the topic.

References a peer reviewed recent study from the New England Study of Medicine. It does not include Moderna or J&J but other studies as to those suggest that they're at the same level. If this is impressive, then the studies regarding natural immunity are astonishingly positive.

Actually, the spike in summer, as bad as it is, will likely mitigate what otherwise would have happened in the winter, and, yes, winter is generally worse than summer. Farr's Law; less dry tinder from which to burn through. Every case we have now is one case that won't be happening this winter, and, what's more, we can add about 10% to 15% to the total number of the vaxed, by then.

It won't even be a situation where the Northern and Midwestern states will have to wait until winter to get hammered like the Sun Belt is getting hammered right now. That will happen sooner than that, and, to an extent, already is. And then it will go down again.

Not for sure this is Tru, people are hoping they don't get sick again and the vaccine isn't gonna last 3 months. You people got a Vax that works as long as a aspirin or a tums. I might be dead this winter cause I haven't took the ginger ale shot or apple juice or whatever they use this week. If they wanna take over all my health concerns I'll follow thier lead, but until they tell me I'm healthy enough to be a experiment for the Chinese germ fair game, I probably take the crap shoot.

Just like a good dictator to ask that.
I do find it bizarre that most people, otherwise generally pleasant people, find it perfectly appropriate to ask casual acquaintances that very question. Of course, it's unnecessary for anyone to ask the true Corona believers if they are- they've already told you, often and loudly. To be fair, I do like to tell some of my friends that I am, just to enjoy the shocked reaction, when they hear it.

The covid freaks talk about the vaccine like it’s a new iPhone. They’re so proud of getting the experiment that they will use a “I got vaccinated” filter on their profile pic. They’re the new vegans. They’re in the group of atheists and cross fitters who can’t freaking wait to talk to you about it.

Don’t you love how these political decisions are not based on science whatsoever? Remember last December when Andy pulled his ******** on restaurants for two weeks? Lol. Like WTF science was that to support that decision?

What science supports making kids wear a dirty *** mask for seven hours a day for nine months?

So wait til hottest day off the year to cover the kids face. Andy is a f n idiot how many get heat related illness and they say ur child needs to get tested before they come back.
lol what a crock of ****. I work in occupational medicine and the vast majority of our clients have largely manual labor work forces and we haven’t treated a single person for heat related illness because of mask wearing ever since the pandemic started.

Until the United States government closes the Southern border and locks it down tight why should we pay any attention to anything they say or any "data" they present? They are not serious.

By allowing illegals to flow into our nation, many with COVID and other diseases, all credibility is void. So I will do what I think is appropriate and that means no mask.
Texas has a higher rate of COVID per capita than the immigrants do. Get the natives in line.

There really isn't even a need to discuss the science on masks. Loads of experts say this or that, but the actual measurable results speak for themselves.

They don't work. Mask mandates started over a year ago and didn't work anywhere in the world. That alone tells you all you need to know. If they worked we'd know.

It's all punitive and imposing will.

Wonder how many COVID patients were infected while wearing a mask? 😉😳
