I bet no one has ever thought the governor is running for McConnell's senate seat. Never. It is an ugly thought, but not as ugly as before Mitch voted for Biden's spending bill last week! These people are such "leaders."
Surely the Fort Jackson McConnell story is not true!

I addressed your preoccupation with race. Of course ICU beds are going to be occupied by younger people influenced by social media and kids under 12 that haven't been vaccinated. Older adults are the most vulnerable with the weakest immune systems. This is not news.

So who's behind the anti-vaxx and anti-mask campaign? Minorities? lol

Because mandates won't fly in the supreme court, businesses are left to mandate vaccinations to use their services or be culpable for the virus spread. Apparently, Harry Truman didn't have the social media or legal roadblocks when he issued polio vaccine mandates in the 50's. The result today is obvious. More spread and more death.

The good news is signs are pointing to a rollover in this current wave of infections.
Are ICU beds really occupied by younger people and children under 12? What is your source for that conclusion? While kids seem more likely to be infected by the Delta variant, I have not seen numbers that demonstrate DV is putting more of them in the hospital. Can you link to that?

in fact, if COVID, as a whole, had the impact it has on people below the age of 25, we would not be having this discussion.

I know there are nursing home docs that will place COVID as the primary cause of death to get the families the “stimulus” death benefits for funerals. So, I suspect our current death numbers, while relatively low, are still skewed by politics impacting stats.

We've got some geniuses in Science Hill, KY protesting the mask mandate and threatening to pull their kids from school! Hopefully their kids have already learned the difference between "our" & "are" before these idiots take them out
We have a lot of data. What does it show about the progression of the virus where there were mask mandates vs where there were no mask mandates?

The media/news they consume just tells them so, that the science shows it.

Actually, there's no evidence whatsoever that people walking around wearing cloth or surgical masks did anything at all: zero, zip, zilch, nada.

That's the real science.

Just heard KY news on the radio playing a sound bite of Beshear. Claiming schools that masked up were doing great and the ones who didn’t had 700 kids in quarantine in KY the first 3 days. He’s counting all the people who were in quarantine and hadn’t even set foot inside a building yet like Clay Co. Straight up deceitful.
I can't stand his lying ***.

I received an email from my County Commissioner this morning stating

The Commission Meeting is over! All 5 commissioners stated that we will NEVER mandate any mask etc..

The County Commissioners are elected officials which proves elections have consequences. So if you elect liberal commissioners you are going to have to live with the consequences. It is too late to cry now.

Stands to reason. Only the afraid of vaccines don’t get vaccines?

I kid I kid. But seriously….
There's a few legitimate reasons to be hesitant towards getting vaccine. The "mark of the beast" isn't one of them.(666 is just numerical for the name nero, people read into revelation without understanding context)

How about, "Covid", do you really think anyone is buying this crap anymore.

The pubs are more packed now than in 2019, in every city I've been in the last 3 months! America is through with this nonsense.

A few. But not enough for 30% of adults to not get it.

At minimum, masks retard the intellectual and emotional development of some subset of students.

At maximum, they placate parents' neurosis and provide incompetent people like your governor something to do, something to point to and say "look, I did something for you."

They never masked their school children in Sweden. No kid died afaik.

There will be thousands and thousands of very young children with speech issues. Watching lip, tongue, and mouth movements are a major way kids learn to speak.

So I guess if teachers wear clear masks, we are good with masks?
Then the humidity from breath(you know the aerosols that still escape masks) fogs it up and is useless again. Vaccinate teachers. Move forward.

I’m sure every teacher would love to wear those (or any other mask) the next 5 years all day long 🤦🏻‍♂️. You never answered what county you live in that “isn’t quarantining students as long as they have on masks”.
Let’s break down the straw man here.

Suggests argument is about what teachers love

Suggests masks are mandatory for 5 years.

And then some non sequitor about counties.

But I thank you guys for answering my question. It’s okay for kids to wear masks if teachers wear clear masks. Got it.

Only if you believe that the ONLY relevant interaction kids have in school is with teachers. I would think that they also benefit by interaction with other students. Now, the kids could also wear "clear masks", but I have a much better idea. How about, no masks in the first place?

But I thought the problem with masks was that they inhibit education. I’m confused.
