Who is the next most important player to stay healthy?

Justin Cox because of depth at S?
Jameon because of his mismatch capabilities?
Preston Smith because of depth at DE?

I think Matthew Wells is a guy we can't afford to lose. He's one of the few guys in this league that can cover his assignment week in and week out. I also think there is a pretty big gap between Wells and Jackson. No knock on Jackson, I just think Wells is a beast.

I like Wells but Jackson can play. Losing Benardrick would be huge but you have Richie. There is only 1 guy on defense we cannot replace and that's Chris Jones.

Agreed - we have some solid DL but there's no one on the roster that compares to Jones. After seeing him as a true freshman, I'd say the sky's the limit this year.

Agree 100% here...

Jones is the only constant mismatch no matter where you put him. He's too powerful for OTs and too quick for OGs. He's going to reek havoc this year. And when they double him, it's going to free up Ryan Brown/AJ Jefferson and Eulls/PJ to have a big year as well...

I agree with all the above, but would add Josh Robinson. We have depth at RB (griffin, shumpert, aries) but 34 is the only one of those guys that I think can be a game changer and hit the home run type play consistently. I, along with others, were saying he was the best back on the team last September.

I am with you.

Dak is the most vital to our success, but Jones is the best player on the team, and it's not really even that close. (knock on wood) I expect him to be mentioned in the same breath as Jadaveon Clowney by the time he is done here, and I think this year is where his name could go national.

I can get past the hype of the upcoming season but the subject of players getting injured, staying healthy seems like bad juju to me....

+1

The others may be, but they aren't proven. I think Nick Griffin is, if he can stay healthy. Either way, it would be scary to find out if Robinson goes down.

Disagree on the Jones comment. Jones can be replaced with scheme or with a lower tier talent. Jones does not dictate a gameplan - yet.
