Very long sigh...... We go into tonights game with 3 starters out and 2-3 more that have quit the team. In the course of 2 series in the 2nd qtr; we lost to injury our QB, RB, 2 Receivers, 2 Linemen and a DB (all starters). A team that wasn't very good to start with and with no depth is now down to JV Players now starting. Boy is it going to be a long long year.

Brother I keep telling you we on a crash course towards each other. Even tho we played lots better tonight we just have ZERO offensive threats but getting better. Surly hate that y’all lost kids that surly hurts slim teams

Sorry to hear of the injuries. It is tough being a fan and going through what EG has seen over the past few years, but you handle it better than most.

Sad time for EG right now. I think it may be time to focus on developing the younger players. The freshman class they have right now are solid! Let them have some varsity reps this year and make this year as productive as possible. They could be something special with the right coaching..

You might be right. My biggest concern is throwing freshmen in against Juniors and Seniors is that they are not physically ready and they get hurt or discouraged.

That's understandable. I played back in the Latham days and that's exactly what he did with us. It made us better players and gained a lot of confidence as we progressed further into our years at EG.
