I am craving a great burger. I know it has been discussed here before. Where can I get the best burger in the Jackson area?

Chili cheese burger was pretty damn good, but be prepared to wait 45 minutes for you food. They have a huge patio that has to be great for live music.

Five Guys is really good too. Majestic Burger, CS's, Mugshots, etc are all good. Burgers and Blues is good too, but unless you are going for the music, Cool Al's is the better bet.

and got their 1 lb County Line burger. I managed 2 and a half bites before it exploded and i was forced to use fork and knife. Their chili is a good topping.

Haven't been there in years but when they were on State Street they had the best burgers in town.

It's worth a trip. Don't take your wife or a date - they'll hate it because it's not real clean but the burger is great. The cleintelle is typcially blue collar- it's worth the trip. I've stood in line next to the most manual of laborers on one side and a former governor on the other.

after the move and the sale, the burger and onion rings have tanked. OH, and show up on a Saturday at noon so you can get a taste of Chuckie Cherokee. Every muddy-assed soccer team is there raising hell with no parental intervention.

Forget it.

My votes: Roosters @ Fondren, Brents, Majestice, and believe it or not....Char. Ask for the cheeseburger with onion rings. Expensive but damned good burger.

Maybe I'll go back one day, but my burger was really sub-par. And the waiter not waiting on us sucked too.

But, the last time I ate there I don't recall being disappointed. Of course, this was 2004-ish. Larwil Lanes (RIP) was where we were ultimately headed.

My wife swears by the burgers at Que Sera Sera. They are awfully good. But, I've never had anything bad there.

I always thought their burger was one of the best. Maybe I need to check out some of these other spots sometime when I make it back that way.

....for whatever that's worth. I like all the places previously mentioned with maybe CS's (Inez burger) being my favorite.

Across North West Street from Millsaps College. Owner is at every State function I attend.

Burgers are great. Inez is the gold standard.

Against the standards of Cool Al's though, Burgers and Blues comes up short.

CS's is a good lunch place. The burger isn't as good as many places in Jackson, but it's also fairly small and not too messy. Perfect if you have to go back to work after lunch. No one wants to feel like a beached whale while trying to work. It's as cheap as fast food too. Save Cool Al's for supper.

is my favorite burger in town without a doubt. Stamps and Cool Als used to get picked top burger every year until Mugshots moved to town. Majestic is really good also.
