Doubt there is any video, but I'm going with Brooks Bryan in the 1997 regionals.

I'll vote for Bobby Reed's self-defense snag of a 1,000 mph liner aimed at his face that came off the bat of a FSU hitter with the bases loaded. Huge.

I"ve only been around MSU baseball since 2000... but Joseph Hunter's robbing of a UNC homerun in the regional game (that we eventually lost) was pretty bad *** and clutch.

I'll go with Brent Brownlee's rob against ole miss just because he freaked out afterwards and shouted some extraordinary words to us in the LFL..

Nick Hardy had a great one at the wall in the 2007 Super Regional. Probably not the best in MSU history, but one of the best recent ones.

Absolutely. I strongly second this one. He had no business making that catch, but was it ever beautiful.

Tracy Echols story

Tracy Echols, 1990, over the fence.

So Tracy, while in college, wass good friends with my uncle. My uncle gets Tracy to agree to be Santa Claus at our family Christmas. Our family is large and there are no less than 10 children of the "believing" age, and our family Christmas' are Griswold-esque. Santa comes and goes, delivering what I'm sure were wonderful gifts to everyone. Shortly after the present opening ends, my brother and I (we are about 6 & 8 at the time) walk outside the house to find "Santa" with his beard pulled down, downing a bottle of Jack Daniels. That was the night we learned that Santa is not real.

I always thought Bryan was one of the most under rated CF's in MSU history. The

guy could hit as well.

The best thing about that regional was Bryan and MacGruder's battle of anything you can do I can do better.

Brent is from Oxford, too. I have a buddy who's a few years older than Brent, but played baseball with him at Oxford High and he LOATHED OM. Probably more than any of us could. He would always take any chance he could to take that hatred out on him. I remember one of his best games was against the hated brethren up north.

That was one of the first ones I thought of too. And I had to duck out of the way of his glove when he made it. It may not be the best but it would be in the top 5 for sure.

Hard to argue with Brooks Bryan's catch where he had to scrape bar-b-que sauce off of his glove per urban legend.

That regional was my first DNF experience. The Brooks Bryan catch and LFL giving NA hell will always be awesome memories.

while this was certainly an important catch in that game it wasn't really a "great catch" since all he really did was stand at the fence and reach up to catch. other than him being at the fence it was a pretty routine play.

best i can remember was the play on the routine grounder sneed made that ensured a no hitter for bowen against the rebels...oh wait**

Brad Winkler made a few catches like that in my day. He was the best I ever saw at diving for balls in the outfield.
