Big 12 gets MORE payout per team than any Power-5 conference. So WVU has been better off in Big 12 than another other Power-5 conference financially.









The first six years of the College Football Playoff saw it distribute $2.7 billion to FBS conferences and independents. As was the tradition under the Bowl Championship Series, FCS conferences receive annual fixed payouts as well.



College Football Playoff Payouts from 2014-2020 by Conference

He should at least give recognition to those that wrote. Wonder if he knows he can be sued for what he's doing by not leaving a link or name of writer.

The point is that PER SCHOOL payout is more important to every conference member than CONFERENCE revenue. Fewer teams, more in each piece of the pie even if the other pie is bigger but has more members getting a piece.

Here’s the FY 2020 total revenue by conference:
Big Ten $768.9 million
SEC: $728.9 million
Pac-12: $533.8 million
ACC: $496.7 million
Big 12: $409.2 million
Payout for full share teams in each league:
1. Big Ten: $54.3 million
2. SEC: $45.5 million
3. Big 12: ~$38 million
4. Pac-12: $33.6 million
5. ACC: ~$33 million

So, even though Big 12 as a conference has less money each school, including WVU, get more money than Pac-12 and ACC members. Numbers don't lie even when people don't like them.
