What Christmas gift did/have you enjoyed the most?

I got this in third grade and played with it for Lord knows how many hours.

I've literally received the following gifts the last 6-8 years from my family:

- Rocky II on blu-ray.
- The Nickelodeon movie "Snow Day," because "It has Chevy Chase in it and you like SNL."
- WVU jogging pants because "They were out of Kentucky gear" (btw I was never told who "they" were).
- A basketball hoop that attaches to your door you can shoot a miniature basketball at. Bought for me last year. I'm 32 years old.
- The Dale Earnhardt movie "3" on DVD because "You like sports movies." I've never watched one NASCAR race in my life mind you.
- A gift card to Belk even though there is not a Belk store within 150 miles of where I live.

For some reason, I still manage to talk to my family. :flushed:

Having said that, me and my older brother used to torment my parents running around the house decked out in these:

I would just recommend not doing gifts anymore. Those are the worst kind of gifts, cheap and thoughtless.

2 12" Cerwin Vega home speakers when I was 13. Rattled the house for months with my DJ Magic Mike (non male stripped edition) CD.

Best gift I ever gave/received:

Girlfriend asked for a "how to" video (this was VHS days) for giving BJ's. Bought her a Nina Hartley instructional and she went from amateurish to top of the charts. Gift kept giving for several years. To whoever is benefiting these days, you are welcome.

A couple years ago, my mom found some cufflinks made with part of the floor from Memorial. Off the top of my head, that's one of my favorites.

My wife got me a UK basketball signed by Kenny Walker a few years back. He is my favorite UK player of all time. Second was a Johnny Eagle Rifle when I was in the third grade. Google that one folks.

My first bike when I was 9 yrs old. We were poor....

I have to add. I had a paper route and a delivery truck ran over it. The driver took me and bought me a new one.

Christmas my junior year in HS (Dec '80), I got an original Easton baseball bat (we called them "green" Eastons back then) and a Wilson A2002 glove. I cherished those things.
Nice to see another Lefty on here! [thumb2] Awesome glove and great bat!

This is the reason I'm diabetic now (sarcasm font here). For Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, my mom would let my siblings and I eat whatever we wanted for breakfast, no questions asked. Dad just sat back and be amused by our choices. My sister usually wanted waffles. My brothers wanted bacon, and plenty of it! Then came me. From ages 9 to 15, my Xmas Eve and Day breakfast was various kinds of cake, washed down with egg nog. The only Christmas presents I really remember was the year I got a bike, and the year my Uncle Charles sent me a set of knives from Vietnam when he served over there. But cake for breakfast? Yes, yes I DO remember!

Had to be my first 10-speed bike. Kept young husKYcat75 from being fatASScat75 and got me to explore the neighborhood more.

Got these my sophomore year of high school for Christmas. Parents played the slow burn on them. I had just gotten into golf and was hitting an old set of Wilson irons my grandfather gave me. I hit these at a pro shop once I had started striking the ball well, and fell in love with them. That Christmas they bought me a ton of new golf gear, and I just knew they were mine. End of opening gifts, the one I was sure was the clubs ended up being a new golf bag. They went all day not letting me off the hook, and that night put them under the tree while I was exchanging gifts with my best friends next door. Still golf with them. Haven't found a set of irons yet I can hit better.

Christmas of 1979 I got a new Mossberg 500 12 gauge, 4 boxes of shells, and a pair of snowshoes. Many snowshoe hares died shortly thereafter. Still have the gun and the snowshoes.
