Sekou was the last of the pre-internet beat writers, which was a completely different animal than what both Ian and Kyle have proven capable of juggling with the blogs and the twitter and all. It's a much more real-time environment, and it's not a very fair comparison.

He, in muy humble opinion, was probably the best beat writer we had before he left to cover the Magic for the Orlanda Sentinel. He took over after Ian Rappaport left for Tusca. Ian was pretty good too but I really enjoyed M Dub's coverage.

lately relative to basketball recruiting. Of course you would never know it though reading Veazey. But I will say part of it is just his personality. Kyle comes across as basically more of a pessimistic, cynical type of person. I've picked up on that even listening to his interviews he does with Bo Bounds.

MSU hasn't had much good news recently. Sekou was here during some exciting times.
No news....like replacing 2 of the big 3 coaches and an athletic director.

I'd like KV more if he didn't try to hard to dig dirt.
