With all the news about Petersen and Kelly staying put, who is the best fit for MSU. I have three names
1. Gary Patterson: He does more with less than anybody east of Petersen, the guy just flat out wins. His defenses are hard nose not unlike 98-00 at MSU. He would hire the best OC he could, because he runs the defense and doen't want to deal with offense.

2. Todd Graham. Another D guy, but a work aholic, would be a great fit at MSU. Won at Rice and is winning at Tulsa. If we don't get him someone will. Hired Applewhite and Malzahn to run his offense.

3. Skip Hotlz. An offensive guy but has turned ECU around in three years after two year of 1-11 teams under John Thompson. Has coached in the SEC at USC, and was an OC at ND. I know he is "Grannys" son, but he is a winner.

I would take Gary Patterson in a heartbeat, but I really don't think we could get him. Didn't he turn down 2.2 million last year to go somewhere else (I cann't remember who though). Might would consider giving my left nut to get him !!!

I think he turned down Minnesota. The thing I don't understand about Tulsa is that if Graham is a defensive guy, then why are their defenses so terrible?

Could it possibly be talent? Just a thought
