I would remove Lincoln from the top tier..... Not making a case for any of the others to be moved up but Lincoln Co is very top heavy. Outside of East the remaining teams are mediocre. One could argue for Gaston or Cabarrus on those standards.

I know Crest hammered Havelock, but Craven has to be up there. 2 state title appearances for a county is impressive, regardless if one of them lost.

Cleveland County has done it in 94, 98, 04' 13' 14 with at least one team winning each year...two teams winning in 94' and 14'

I know, and I believe that Cleveland County is second to none.

But, Havelock and New Bern both won in 2012, and both went back this year. They should be in the discussion.

With the old Cabarrus power Kannapolis falling on hard times in 4A, I find myself rooting for teams like Crest with lots of tradition and tough kids who play the game the right way.

Put A.L. Brown on our schedule...They have to be more of a challenge than T.C. Roberson...If Ashbrook doesn't get something fixed soon, I'm going to want to replace them too. As boring as our conference is in mid season, we need more excitement in the beginning.

A lot of Crest fans would love to see Kannapolis or Concord each year! Two awesome programs that could give us a frequent "L" unfortunately but that's what we pay to see... not a guaranteed win. As much as I would've loved to see Crest and Shelby in the same division, I've taken a slight liking to the 8 state titles that allow more than one team in most counties to have championships the same year. More than little ole me was nervous at the thought of facing Concord this playoff season! Any chance of A.L. Brown and Concord getting in the same conference again, soon?

After seeing Crest in person, sadly y'all would have beat down the Spiders.

As for Concord rejoining Kannapolis, hopefully next realignment. There has been talk of a lot of different options, most likely a Cabarrus-Iredell 3A/4A.

We (Lincolnton) won eleven games this year. We aren't a mediocre team.

Maybe this season Crest would've (against anyone) ...void the "Any Given Sunday" syndrome, but we're not on a multiple Independence likeness undefeated season(s) roll, as of yet to be seen... I just know that a lot of Cleveland County want some new guest teams with the tradition of winning, to come along every year. A steady rotation of A.L. Brown/Concord, Gaffney/Spartanburg, Byrnes/Dorman, Mallard Creek/Butler, ...every team SHOULD put in one or two big test games a season. I can take that kind of loss... (because I'm not the kids on the field) So, as a Crest Alumni, I want the undefeated season but I want the "games to remember" without having to wait until the state championship game!
