I rarely get to listen except during the afternoons on my way home. However, when work requires me to travel during the day I do enjoy finding the different shows across the state and nation. To me- Cowherd is the by far the best. What is Dan Patrick trying to do with his show? I just don't get it. Finebaum- somewhat entertaining but I would usually turn it off when idiots just continue to ramble. His is not a sports radio show- its The Alabama Springer Show. There's not an radio show in the state of MS that I can listen to for more than 5 minutes without having to turn it. Then I'll gain my nerve back and try again only to tune out after another 5 minutes. Good radio must be hard because I can't find a whole lot of it.

While Cowherd has his moments, and its always fun to listen to someone who's opinionated, and has a football-first mentality, that openly talks about the SEC being the best, I've heard him, many times, use MSU as an example of a bad team, even during good years, which slightly annoys me. The other thing that annoys me is he's a HUGE fan of the national powers. His favorite sports teams are the Lakers, the Patriots, the Yankees, Duke, and USC, and he acts like the smartest guy in the room when he's usually right by always picking the favorite.

Mike & Mike are good if you've only got a few minutes. They grab your attention with the banter, which is pretty fun, but they rarely go deep into a topic, and are very soft on guests.

Scott VanPelt and Ryan Russillo are easy to like, especially for the college-aged crowd (also, if you're a fan of adult swim, they have fun with the guys that do the voices of characters like Carl from ATHF and Early from Squidbillies) Almost always positive (almost feel-good) which is starkly contrast to Cowherd, but there's also some substance there (unlike M&M). If you love college football or basketball a bit more than the pros, it's probably the show for you.

Doug Gottlieb is like a younger, nicer Colin Cowherd. He's still synical as all hell, but rarely says anything that makes me want to turn the radio off and/or vomit. As a former OKstate basketball player, he probably offers the best insight around college basketball season. Gets a bit dull without him having a partner.

If for whatever reason, you're driving in the middle of the night, AllNight with Jason Smith is really really easy listening. He's like a nice uncle or cousin. A fair amount of laughs for a one man show on graveyard shift. For some reason he kind of reminds me of Food Network's Alton Brown, but of ESPN radio. You're not going to be sad to have to turn him down if you get a phone call, but he'll keep you interested enough to stay awake, without being a dick.

Finebaum, as everyone knows, is a blowhard who just likes to stir the pot. his callers are buffoons, and he insults everyone he can just to get ratings, save mighty Alabama. One of the top 5 people in this country I would like to punch in the face, even though I know that's what he wants.

Dan Patrick has slowly become one of my favorites. Listening to his show is like going golfing with the males in your extended family. He's like a younger grandpa or older father, who's got a very laid back manner, is a little bit of a perv, and has a pass to say whatever he wants. The crew interaction is one of my favorite parts of his show, you'll always hear thoughts, opinions, or funny stories, from several of his cohorts during the show (there's a good 4 or 5 of them that'll chime in sometimes). It's apparent that he's still bitter with ESPN, but I do think the way he labels them "the mothership" is pretty funny.

Nice mix of sports and witty banter amongst the crew. Plus, he's the best interviewer in the business.

I used to lilke Mike and Mike, but they are wearing on me. Can't listen for more than 5-10 minutes. I don't mind Cowherd, but I do get a little tired of hearing about his 'lifestyle.' I find that I either really agree with him on a topic or really disagree. Freddie Coleman is a good listen, although I don't get to hear him a ton.

...and everything on MLB Radio. I don't care for anything else. Of course, Fox took Czaban off the air, so I have to listen to his local show in DC if I want to hear his show.

In DFW, of course (or streaming online). Great format, great mix, and excellent delivery.

He in jail now or what?

I listened to The Ticket for years before moving back to MS. Last I listened, Greggo was explaining how he had gotten addicted to vicadin and had been through rehab and gotten off of it before anybody knew he had been addicted. Guess his problems were bigger than that.

But I still love that he has callers that call and curse at him on the air, and he gets really mad.

even listen during those seasons. All time most hated is Rome, all time favorite (no longer around) Kylie and Booms. Those guys were off topic more than they were on but they were a hoot.

Kylie and Booms got screwed by Fox. Miss them also. Also miss MPOS Mark Patrick show. His Cock Talk segment imitating SC coach Lou Holtz was comedy gold.

SVP is a close 2nd and then Gottlieb a little further down at 3rd. M&M is great as mentioned previously if you only have a few minutes. They play ATH at 6 pm on ESPNradio (at least on XM) which is nice since you don't have to watch the show for the full entertainment.

enjoy some of his bigger name interviews, but, those will be followed by Bert Carruth (ahhhhh relationships), or Big 10, or Bobby Hall and then I just have to go throw up my Shapleys New York Strip.
