After 40+ years I've been surprised a "universal best practice" hasn't been adopted by this point for chains and restaurants not smoking. When they became the rage seems 1 in 10 were undercooked chewy and inedible. Little better now but still run across them and rarely order or even eat any when offered.Wings are the one thing that I really don't order anymore because I've never had any at a restaurant as good as I can do at home. For chains, I think WingStop was probably the best. There's something about how most chains can't (or don't) cook them long enough versus doing them in the smoker.

They were good wings and Tuesday night was $5 for any burger on the menu. But alas Bon Temps is no more. Not sure if he just closed it down or sold it to someone but I saw a post on FB that it was gone.Bon Temps in orange beach has .75 cent smoked wings and mick ultra for 2.50 on Monday night

Kookaburra wings are consistent and very good. The Ahi Tuna at Outback is excellent. I’ve eaten tuna all along the coast and very very few are better than Outback.Hub Stacey’s in Pensacola.

Smoked wings from local BBQ places usually. Regardless, wings are extremely overpriced. Especially for what was once considered a throw away item.
