2 Brothers may be one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We went 2 years ago while at the SC baseball series. I'd been there once before and the pork belly tacos were good, not great. The second time I got the brisket and street corn. The corn looked like it had been pulled out of the dumpster from a Polos East barbeque a few days before and the brisket was shoe leather. Everyone who worked there was totally disengaged. It was bad.
You can easily make outstanding smoked wings at home if you have a kettle grill/smoker. It really couldn't be easier. For the vortex, they're pretty cheap to buy online, you can make one yourself out of a stainless steel bowl, or if you have the charcoal baskets you can just group those together in the middle.
Traeger at 180 for 1.5 hours, then re-toss in sauce and broil on high for 3-4 minutes. Perfection.

Anyone had Urban Fusion’s chicken wings? It’s salt and pepper fried crispy then stir fried in onions and jalapeños. Might be my favorite wings of all time.
Side note, I miss Logan’s smoking hot grilled wings. Found a recipe that’s close, but not exact.

It’s under appetizer. It’s called ginger, Jalepeno, dynamite chicken wings.
The Stables in Tupelo is my all-time favorite. They cook and serve their wings whole and that may have something to do with them never being dried out. Very good original Buffalo flavor.
The Rib Cage near Pickwick Lake has really good smoked wings, but the last few times I've gotten them they seemed to have come from hummingbirds. I've never seen wings that small for sale anywhere. Good, though.
The first wings I ever had were from The Grill on Maxwell St. in Starkville in the early 90s, before it went corporate and got civilized, and those were very good. They're still my standard for comparison and most don't measure up.
I really, really want to like the wings at 2 Brothers, I really do, but the time I tried them they were dry and tough. That said, I went at lunch on a weekday, so I assume they were held over from the night before and re-heated. I will give them another shot at suppertime sometime before I wave them off entirely.
