Better back, AD or Ingram? Make your case..........

Ingram is only a sophomore, and sophomore Ingram >> sophomore Dixon, so if Ingram follows a path of improvement, he'll probably be better in the long run. Sophomore Ingram and Senior Dixon are pretty close though, and I may give the lean to Dixon right now. Dixon made huge strides this past off season. He was a lot quicker this year and just a better all around back than he was his first 3 years. He always put up good numbers, but this year he was a much better back.

I'm guessing someone got in his ear about the NFL draft and convinced him that he needed to improve, because he made a big transformation this past off-season. As an opposing fan, I'm glad that he's gone now and we only had to face NFL-ready Dixon for one year.

or not......If he redshirted and BAma wins the BCS, he may bolt.......Then we get Trent Richardson, so I'd just as soon Ingram stay.......

I think if you switched the guys (Dixon on Bama this year, Ingram on MSU), then I think Dixon would be the most productive w/o question. If you locked them both in a room and only one could come out, I'd bet on Dixon. But Ingram has put up some pretty serious numbers this year, and he's 2 years younger than Dixon. It might be the line, it might be the balance on offense Bama has, but whatever it is, it makes Ingram a more productive back.

TODAY, AD leads the SEC in rushing while playing with an average OL against the nation's hardest schedule. There's really no question here.

Yea, I'm not even sure Ingram is the best back on his team. Richardson seems like he has the potential to be better. Makes me sick.

AD as a So. vs Ingram as a So. is apples vs oranges because of Croom's coaching or lack thereof. Especially with the o-line we had then and the lack of passing.

I said AD because of this- how would State do with AD vs Ingram? And how would Bama be with AD vs Ingram.

I think AD is better because he had the avbility to carry our offense. I'm not sure that Ingram could do that for us. At Bama, Ingram has Julio Jones, McElroy, who I always thought was underrated as a QB, the Bama o-line, and Saban's defense shutting down people. Add in AD to that equation in place of Ingram, and it wouldn't even be funny how good they would be.

as Dixon improved from his JR to his SR season. I think anybody would be very happy to have either back. I wouldn't trade Dixon for Ingram, but if I were I Bama fan I wouldn't trade Ingram for Dixon.
