This hopefully is just a think tank situation because Garrison should stay-he'll be getting more minutes next year and he's secure in his role. He's the lone guy who has been in the system/program of the big men coming in and he has upside/developmental potential. This running when someone decides to join mentality is weak ****. Moreno will be a Freshman, and JQ is coming off a serious injury and it's a situation where Garrison can float from 5/4 depending on the lineup on the court if he sticks it out.

Hope it's just talk, but if he does want to enter the Portal/move on-then hope it happens ASAP so they can address it quicker.
That’s what I’m saying, I can’t believe he would consider that at this point, he’s way ahead of the other guys right now in the system. I know Oweh is pretty much universally expected to return but I’d like 100% confirmation from him and BG soon.

I feel like this works both ways tho.

Yeah having players that decide to stick around only helps. But if the guys that are sticking around are also the guys that maybe not as talented enough to contribute to title contending teams it's a negative no matter how you slice it.

When people complained about players under Cal leaving for the NBA and wanting guys to stay, it was always no you don't just want players to stay........you want the players that are going to contribute in a big way to stay.

Not necessarily talking about BG specifically just in general. Clayton and Broome or Cryer coming back for senior years is a lot different than BG coming back.

Also, we can't ignore the fact that Duke made a final four with 3 Freshman contributing in a huge way. And despite the loss to Houston, were probably the best team this season.

There's many ways of doing this. But all those teams had one thing in common, they had insanely talented players be it guys that maybe weren't highly recruited, became very good and decided to stay. Or a team full of highly recruited FR.
Also can't ignore the fact if an elite player is on dukes want list,, zero chance we're outbidding them for that player.. You're only hope with those types players is one that just doesn't like duke.. I feel we're good on nil money but duke is above us at really great on nil.. They stockpile talent like Alabama does in football..

I'd be curious to know just how far ahead they are in NIL compared to us.

Duke is one thing but the suddenly bottomless pockets and less adamantly focused on religious restrictions BYU worries me more because they want the same guys so closely.

It is like us, them, Alabama, and sometimes Louisville are supposedly different restaurants with eerily similar menus and recipes.

One is Carl's jr and another is Hardee's.

Chance to be a part of something special, get better, play against the best at UK while making money.

What's there to think about

His fire and passion to compete is huge and rubs off on his mates. Just needs to relax and take care of the ball to be a major asset
