They are designed to stop all the spread offense teams with smaller quicker O lines in the Pac 12. Stanford with their stouter line gave UCLA fits and no doubt DL and Riley designed their game plan accordingly. Dropping back to pass 30 times would have fed right in to UCLA's defensive wheel house. The best way to attack speed is to run right at it and we did. A+ game plan.from the tv screen, it looked like UCLA was very much undersized on their D-Line.. they probably had good speed, but lacked in brute stopping power.. compared to the rest of the Big10, I'm not sure we stand out on either offensive or defensive lines.. average for the league is my guess.

And they were dominated up front by Northwestern.Stanford is the best team not in the final 4.
