The fact they didn’t allow the brick on that 2nd td is f’n ridiculous. Block also should’ve circled instead of backing straight out 3times. Wtf did he think was going to happen!

Can’t argue much with the stall calls. You can’t go back straight out of bounds in that last sequence. Anything but that.

Anyone thinking those stall calls weren’t all warranted is a straight up clown.
The Refs did him no favors, but you can't continually back to the edge every damn time. He was the better wrestler in the match, but his Mat IQ was off the charts bad.
Nobody else is getting those stall calls like PSU. Same **** year after year. They don't need your help STRIPES? F!
So, were the stall calls on Block warranted? I'm listening on YouTube and the Hawk announcers even said to hit him with stalls and were frustrated with Block.

I legit tried. I don't understand your sport. I don't get stalling. Also, what's the punishment for throwing a brick and not winning? Why didn't Brands do it? How do you get stalling when you tried to take a shot 20 seconds earlier? Knowing little to nothing about the sport, I didn't feel like the Penn St. kid did anything to win.

I have no disagreement with that. Pathetic. I have disagreement with the refs not letting us challenge the 2nd td. That’s absolute ********. Goes right along with the td they awarded lilledahl. Get on their knees and suck psu off every possible chance they get!

Situational awareness is lacking sometimes. That was close to a takedown. If you throw the brick and we lose at least you get a lung timeout.

I can’t even imagine what Carver Arena or the branches would sound like if an opponent did that to us. That was clearly stalling.
Honestly yes. He kept backing up to the out of bounds area then he started fighting. Fight before then and they don’t happen.
Block loses on conditioning and…he’d have lost it easily had it gone to overtime. Coaching problem. Sad state of Iowa wresting when we begin wrestling like okie state of old. Sadly, Iowa has earned every bit of these close losses.

The brick wins him that match. Not only was there a chance he wins the challenge for another takedown, but he gets time to recover from that adrenaline dump. Again, tell me where the rule says a brick can be too late when NO new wrestling had occurred.
That ref interjected his own personal bias and I do NOT see how that is debatable…
