That was a fraudulent ranking. Had a good national duals where he beat Taylor, but no other top 10 wins. More likely not to AA than win a title.

So glad they made this call at 157. Such upside 
Im not sure Williams would have been the better choice against Cannon but im sure he would have not done worse

“Effort” doesn’t really mean much when you’re not good at wrestling.
Plodder, slow feet, minimal scrambling ability.

I just feel like Williams at least had the talent to score and possibly beat a higher seeded opponent? VV never gets blown out and he tries very hard but it just seems like he can’t create a TD/shot and can’t turn anyone? It is hard to win if you have limited ability to score.
Not saying JW would have pulled off the upset but JW is at least capable of feet to back. VV doesnt seem to even have a punchers chance

A lot of parity at 157. Beating the national champ and staying undefeated should be enough to get that ranking, but he was also seeded correctly because of missing a substantial part of the season due to injury. It should all sort itself out shortly…
The return of Ferrari will be on mat 3.

Williams does have more talent, he's one of the better dancers on the team I'm sure.
Neither was gonna make any noise, so it really doesn't matter. Fill the hole better next year, that's the only answer.
Two major upsets for the good guys so far. That is 2 more than I expected!
Also it feels like throwing in boots should be stalling on top. You can’t do anything with it.
