Yeah but he showed lots of fight thereVV loses 6-0.

I actually thought Brands was being really strategic and throwing it late to give Block even MORE time, but that it backfired.Major adrenaline dump. He gave everything he had the 1st 2 periods against a guy that is flat out better than him. He desperately needed that takedown OR at least the time that brick would give him to recover.
I don’t knock Brands often, but he HAD to see that and throw it…
Point well taken…A LOT of negativity on this board this season that was even dumber and NOT sarcasm. Hard to give anyone the benefit of the doubt at this point…
Lol. Who's feeding a narrative here? You're comtinual all year long preaching to judge the season based on the post season doesn't play into you stating how great they look?It is possible to lose close matches and wrestle great. If you can’t see how much better Iowa is wrestling as a team right now versus the regular season, you are either blind or intentionally obtuse…
VV isn’t a backup. He split time all year long and Brands chose him as the starter. Should he be a backup for a team like Iowa? Yes, but he’s not.Can you twist the narrative any further? Peterson lost to the #1 seee on 2 crazy close calls. Ayala avenged a loss in dominant fashion. Bailey dominated. Block nearly beat the #1 seed. 2 backups are the only other losses.
. Considering they were seeded to take 7th, yeah they have wrestled damn good so far!
It’s sad these types of comments are coming from Hawk fans. That, in and of itself, sums up the current state of our program. Block wins the match simply if he’s in shape (and it’s MarchI actually thought Brands was being really strategic and throwing it late to give Block even MORE time, but that it backfired.
VanNess is the least talented wrestler on their roster except for Braeden, and yes I know his credentials but let’s not act like beating him is like beating Messenbrink.Major adrenaline dump. Block loses to VanNess 99 times out of 100 - you have to try something there in this 1/100 opportunity. It’s sad these types of comments are coming from Hawk fans. Does he not have an argument to be the 2?That should lock the 3 seed for Mikey in the national tournament!
Take the bias out and just watch the matches so far. Who hasn’t wrestled visibly better than their regular season?Lol. Who's feeding a narrative here? You're comtinual all year long preaching to judge the season based on the post season doesn't play into you stating how great they look?
Maybe but all the matters is he’s not the 4.Does he not have an argument to be the 2?
He’s ducking the rematch with MikeyBlaze goes down at 165
They whined about COVID restrictions and the B1G Ten caved & brought it back. The power of CarlI am sure this has been discussed, but how did PSU get to host this tourney again after hosting it in 2022? It hasn't been in Iowa City since 2016, correct?
Unless Williams is injured, he should be on the bench. The match with OKState at National Duals made that glaringly obvious…VV isn’t a backup. He split time all year long and Brands chose him as the starter. Should he be a backup for a team like Iowa? Yes, but he’s not.
Tom literally said he’s taking VV over Willams.Unless Williams is injured, he should be on the bench. The match with OKState at National Duals made that glaringly obvious…
But, he was cryptic as hell as to why. No way he ever thought Voinovich had a better chance to win than Williams, without there being something major behind the scenes…Tom literally said he’s taking VV over Willams.
So he’s the backup because you say so and not the head coach? But, he was cryptic as hell as to why. No way he ever thought Voinovich had a better chance to win than Williams, without there being something major behind the scenes…
