Voinovich is terrible and there is no way they chose him over Williams because he “had more fight”. If they did, here is someone that doesn’t bash them clearly saying it was an incredibly stupid decision…

What's the lowest number of guys we have sent to nationals in the last 20 or 30 years? When was the last time we had less than 9? less than 8?
I hate to say it but if you wrestle at least a tournament (2 day individual) you might know how to erestle the Hawks do not look good.
You guys are correct next year will not be good. I have never complained about the scrambling ability and won't the good ones just don't get in those positions but our conditioning is about 5 minutes at best. For the love of God can we stop worrying about injuries and just wrestle an actual schedule.

So glad we went with Voinovich. Lost to to a not good Mechler who Williams beat earlier.

Did anyone expect a point from Voinovich? I sure didn’t. The Block thing definitely sucks. With 39 seconds of riding time not going down made no sense. But, I openly admit I haven’t watched a single match from his opponent. Rutgers guys are often sneaky good on top. Anyone know if that was the case and the didn’t want to risk a ride out?

I don't know either, but if you are an elite wreslter (& to be a starter at Iowa you almost by definition are/should be) you should be able to get out from bottom agaisnt anyone! But especically the the 7 seed of the Big Ten tournament...
