There's literally nothing about Hawkeye wresting I'm happy or confident about. It's about as bottom barrel as you can get even with our Ayala's, Ferrari's. Mikey is literally the only representation of what i enjoy as a fan. He's the epitome of win or lose, Mikey always makes me proud in what he does. No other Hawkeye is close. And you soft bastards out there that base your fandom on strictly the Brands. I want nothing to do with you. Our program and dominance was literally made by a young man from Waterloo that wrestled for Iowa State. I do not want any coaching connections in the future that has any ties to the Hawkeyes at any point in life. Those that do I want nothing to do with you, we aren't looking for the same things when it comes to the longevity of not just the program, but wrestling in general.

I really, really, really dislike the fans that base the program on the Brands as opposed to the actual product and growth of the kids. Believe it or not I wanna see Hawkeyes, Nittany Lions or Cowboys become world champions. But the fun is better in the amateur and us being able to compete with one another. That starts here at the college amateur level and we suck.

SVN is lucky 49 is so weak this year. If there was even a real threat at this weight, he’d be in trouble. But given the makeup of the weight he can keep spotting leads to basically everyone.
I thought the exact same thing at the end of that match , that's how we used to wrestle.
