Big 12 absolutely stinks this year.

Oklahoma State is the only team good enough to make the playoffs and I predict even they will fall short. Gundy always blows a game during the season.

If Texas loses more than 2 games this year, does anyone th8nk they fire Hernan at the end of the season? Their defense was pitiful, but they have a QB who can keep them in games. Also, was this last week the typical OU choke job and then they go buzzsaw through the rest of the teams (and they also have a qb who can keep them in games).

Definitely a lot of questions and observations to be had about the conference this year.

OU still has no secondary. They were outscored 21-0 in the 4th Q. That sounds like something a WVU team does. For some unknown reason KSU has OU number. Look at last years game. Then WVU turned around and beat KSU.

Big 12 is weak. Big 12 was 0-3 vs the Sun Belt.

Yes Herman is in hot water IMO. That little TVZ pretend Texas fan thinks Herman is a god. Covid might save his job for 1 more year but not if the money has a say in it.

ESPN FPI has Texas the overwhelming favorite and the only team.with the chance at the playoffs
Confefence favorite
Texas 65.3 %
Oklahoma 10.4%
Oklahoma State 9.3%
Baylor 4.6%

Oklahoma could lose again this week.
Been telling some of you they aren't any good.
They actually could start the Big 12 0-3

Texas, Oklahoma State and Baylor this year.
Oklahoma, Iowa State, TCU and WVU are the next group

I don’t think Oklahoma state is that good, I think they have an above average defense especially being in the big 12. If we wouldn’t have made all the dumb mistakes I think we actually win that game. That being said I do agree with Allen that the big 12 is down this year!! Very down!!!

Third down percentage
Red zone defense

WVU was given space but because they haven't proven capable of being a great red zone team they will be given space between the 20's.

South Florida
Temple
East Carolina
Navy

Those schools aren't helping the AAC

Think before you post.

According to ESPN FPI

AAC only has one Top 25 team
2 Top 30 teams
6 Top 50 teams

Big 12 has 4 Top 25 teams
5 Top 30 teams
8 Top 50 teams

90% of the conference is Top 60
While the AAC has 4 teams outside of the Top 60

South Florida
Navy
Temple
East Carolina

Big 12 is not too top heavy this year but it isn't that bad.

The bottom 4 teams just played the Top 4

Only had one blowout
One upset
One OT Game
One close game with WVU playing pretty close to Oklahoma State

Texas will not make the playoffs. Oklahoma doesn't have a chance because they lost a game to a nobody conference team. TVZ starting more predictions he can't back up.

Baylor played KU. EKU would give KU a good game. Baylor is a pretend player this year. ISU is a fraud yet again with a .500 head coach. Oklahoma State could go unbeaten and not make the playoffs.

You said TCU was going to make a run at the Big 12 title now you put them in the next group. You're such a fraud.

Big 12 has that many ranked because 26 of the P5 schools are not playing as of yet. Texas is highly overrated. Tech proved that. Both proved Big 12 still has no idea what a defense is. Big 12 blows chunks this year and conference champ will have 2 losses.

Texas is going to win the games they need to.
Oklahoma wont
QB play

The question becomes what does Texas do on defense.

Start at QB when you look at elite teams.

There are only about 6 of them this year.

Elite college football teams don't surrender 56 points to average football teams, especially a school that had been "held" to fewer points by an FCS doormat, such as Houston Baptist. Texas will be exposed, and exposed badly, just as WVU was after a 5-0 start in 2012. You don't have to be the 1985 Bears, but you do have to be at least average on defense to be a national title contender. Texas isn't.

If Texas is going to be expose if will happen this week to TCU

If Texas beats TCU you expect a big season .

The question becomes what does their defense look like in December

Because they are scoring points without a few of their best weapons out there.
They have 3-4 legit NFL WRs

You can say Clemson but Clemson doesn't recruit this area of the country

But they were because of Chad Morris and Brent Venables

But LSU showed the gameplan last year.
LSU was a hybrid Big 12/SEC West team

That is where Texas is trying to get to...

I don't care if Texas has 10 NFL ready-made wide receivers, unless they're also NFL caliber cornerbacks and/or safeties. Texas' defense is an embarrassment, and will be exposed again, then obliterated, if Texas were to make the Final Four, due to the Big 12's weakness this season. You picked the wrong fake favorite team, Chris. Hot seat Herman will need a lot more excuses by the end of this season.

Difference between Texas and Oklahoma...

Texas has NFL players on defense as well

Tom Herman has three weeks to prepare a team.
Plus 8 more games

Truthfully think this was the best performance they could have received...

Texas is no different than Oklahoma was last season, except Texas' limited QB won't ever start a game in the NFL. Heck, WVU might beat Texas (again) in Austin this season, as Ehlinger doesn't play that well against WVU, and the 'horns hapless defense will make Doege look at least as good as his older brother.

Texas gave up 56 to Texas Tech and got lucky to make it to overtime and eek out a 63-56 win. Sounds like a Texas vs Tech basketball game. Ludicrous.

Having a QB that is poised and confident is more important than having a defense right now

Look at Georgia ...

They aren't ever going to win a NC no matter how much they try to hide behind their defense

I couldn't care less about Georgia and Kirby (not too) Smart. Just like Meyer, Saban is the straw that stirs the drink, and his assistants never come close to living up to his accomplishments after they've become head coaches. See Tom Herman: Exhibit A.

Like I said....

Look at the teams so far that have a QB that can put up points

Clemson
Alabama
Miss State
Florida
Texas
Miami

Those are the 6 legit teams with the teams that played

Oklahoma State and Texas on defense give up around 4.5 yards per play.
Oklahoma State is actually #13 in the country
Texas #14 with the teams who played

If Texas is going to be exposed it will happen against TCU

How many of the teams identified by Chris above, other than Texas, surrendered 56 points on Saturday? Let me help you with that one, Chris: One. And, none of those other teams gave up as many as 36 points on Saturday, let alone 56 points. Thanks for proving my point, Chris. Texas' defense is putrid, and not nearly good enough to allow underachieving Texas to challenge for a national title.

Doesn't matter.....

Do you understand. We are in September

The question becomes what team becomes the most complete by December

Last year it was LSU.

We had this same argument about LSU last year. .

When you were too big a ***** to put your screen name up on Ohio State

Told all of you that LSU was the NC

Look at the NFL yesterday...

All the high level games were played with a lot of yards being put up

This is where football is at.

Teams aren't running into a block wall for four quarters anymore

They are going to put up points. You just have to make sure you have a defense capable of playing big when needed and an offense that can trade touchdowns

Look at Chrissy, the Marshall alumnus, so desperate for somebody else's attention that he's posting multiple times. The guys on the Fan 97.1 in Columbus are making fun of Texas right now, and talking about Herman's "do or die" season, as he'll be fired, if things go South in 2020. LOL at Chrissy in denial.

Who cares? The only reason that people in Columbus talk about underachieving Texas is because your fake favorite team employs butt hurt Tommy Herman, who will never add to the one championship ring that he won as he rode Urban's coattails at Ohio State. With the reduced scheduled this season, he might not lose at least four games for the first time as a head coach. Speaking of the Austin, we stole one helluva great O-Lineman out of Houston to add to our collection of lon star talent. Garrett Wilson says, "hi!"

Who cares what Ohio State does...

They are obsessed with Texas. But they really should be careful what they ask for...

Ohio has very little talent
Texas does

Bad Texas team can still recruit. But can a bad Ohio State team

It's been so long since Ohio State was bad that I can't answer your question, Marshall alumnus/fake Texass fanboy, Chrissy. Our recruting ranking is better than Texas', as usual. Be sure to thank Hot Seat Herman for Donovan Jackson, the five-star stud who escaped from his back yard.

Do you understand that Ohio State is on a platform that is the B1G..

When they don't win the B1G and get into the CFP they can't recruit at a high level.

Bad position.

Even with that Ohio State still hasn't won anything.
Keep telling yourself that Ohio State wont end up on the side of the road

The difference with Texas...

Everyone from the NFL down is playing the style of football Texas wants now.
They have the players all over the place to play this style.

Delusional fake Texas fan continues to spin the truth like a top. Nobody is jealous of Texass, the most underachieving program in NCAA history, Chrissy. Top revenue producer + at least four losses every year + no CFP appearances = Total failure.
