In a phone interview on the College Football Playoff Selection Show, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby told ESPN's Rece Davis: "It's clear that we were penalized for not having a postseason championship game. It would have been nice to have been told that ahead of time."

How does this guy have a commissioner position? How did anyone think a championship game would not factor in? If for nothing else, because it is a 13th game. The nerve of this guy, especially when the Big 12 schedule featured 3 bye weeks so their teams could play a regular season game on championship weekend.
