How bad is the Big 12 North this year. Kansas State and Nebraska play this weekend. The winner goes to the Big 12 championship game.

If Kansas State wins, they go to the Big 12 championship game.
If Kansas State loses, their season is over at 6-6. No bowl game. (two wins over I-AA)

And to your point, it's been bad for years, but 2009 was when Kansas and Mizzou's recent runs both ended.

What I can't understand is how Nebraska can't seem to get their **** together and take back over, with Colorado second and K State a distant third. Those are the traditional football powerhouses in the North. Now with the KU and UM back to mediocrity, the whole division looks threadbare.

there's some funny ones there.

Nebraska should be able to take hold in the next couple years, its just amazing to me that a team heading into their last game will either fail to make a bowl or have a shot at the BCS.

and probably 2nd or 3rd in the Big 12. Although they did have a very bad home game against Texas Tech. Otherwise, NU's D has been very good and Texas Tech did score a TD on defense in that game. NU should win out (KSU & CU) and end up 9-3 (6-2) and play TX. Mizzou will remain a competitive program but they lost too much this year. NU still has a demographic deficiency in recruiting compared to the South schools and Cally set them back horribly on D. (I live in Lincoln and listen to local talk radio.)
