one more time, then why did luck shoot it down at the presser? Lawsuit?
Im not saying Stew did everything right but Ollie played a role in getting the upper hand with the press.
He did not shoot it down. He was speaking from the restrictions of a NDA, and I'm sure what he said was technical truth.
If he wanted to shoot them down, he would have said, "The allegations by Colin Dunlap are untrue", but he didnt.
He said the AD office could not substantiate rumors (and did not address WHICH rumor).
Have you read Casazza's book?
There's more than just the Dunlap incident the office was reviewing.
Also, Bill Stewart never denied contacting Dunlap and having the conversation. 1) Because it happened, 2) He was under NDA.
Dunlap has never retracted his statement. In fact, he went on the record with Casazza.
Face it. Stewart did what he did. You can still admire him but he's accountable for that episode.
However, I also blame Luck for putting everyone in that dumb situation. He shares the blame for the outcome in my book.
