Orange @ Albemarle
Powhatan @ Western
Charlottesville @ Monticello
Fluvanna @ Louisa (probable blowout though)

Fluvanna Louisa will not be a good game at all. 60-0 would be no surprise. Last year it was 66-6 and Louisa has gotten better, while Fluvanna has gotten worse. One of those games that really make you cringe.

One correction Powhatan is home vs Western. Also win lose or draw this team while on paper does not match up well with many has found ways to win which is a bright spot since missing the playoffs last year. I know they look forward to the competition and I am OK with the fact that we are underdogs and may surprise some folks.

What is it with Fluvanna? They should be better on a routine basis.
The talent just isn't there, and their best player, Grooms, quit two weeks ago after suffering his fourth concussion. After seeing this many coaches go through there over the last decade, it's clear there just isn't talent there. But I will say this Fluvanna team looks more organized, they actually look like they know what they're doing.

Louisa hasn't won AT Powhatan since 2008 and wants this one badly. Powhatan has Western Albemarle to focus on. WA brought out a no-huddle system against Monticello, which Powhatan could struggle with.

We'll see. Powhatan is really tough to play at, but I still see Louisa. I think Powhatan beats Western because they're at home. Powhatan beat Hopewell at home this year. You never know.

I think Charlottesville can blow out Monticello if the defense gets a little more physical and doesn't take plays off.

Hope so. It is Monticello's homecoming though, but I think Cville's defense is really good this year. Monticello, and the rest of the district for that matter, doesn't have an answer for Sabias Folley. We'll see.

I think Powhatan wins this week, but gets crushed by Louisa next week.
Agree. JD is has seen better years. Lions cake walk the district this year and maybe next year. I do think Louisa is a good team this year and they are not overhyped. They can go as far as they can stop the pass defensively and pass the ball offensively. Someone in the playoffs will take away the run game. If Louisa proves they can pass they are going to have another run like 2006.

The team that takes away this Louisa running game for four quarters will have some big cahones and heart. Louisa hasn't been held to under 345 yards rushing (against Sherando, with eight fumbles) yet. I'd bet good money they have the biggest backfield in the state in any class. Bell, Whalen, and Jones combine for 700 lbs, and have that perfect blend of speed and power. Couple that with a line that's improving weekly and still hasn't peaked. Then add in a no-huddle single wing and read option attack. I'm not trying to seem cocky or anything, just stating the obvious. I really hope these kids can get the exposure they need by going far against great teams. Former players like Kerry Wynn making it to the NFL after only playing his senior year at Louisa shows the Lions have big-time talent. #21 Kobie Washington might be the x-factor. He has good size and speed, so if he gets out of his own head, and Bell continues to develop, the passing game should really take off. Bell threw some dimes right into his hands against Albemarle that were dropped. I was shocked to see Bell on 4th down roll to his right, hit King George with a pump fake, get the defender jumping, then run 17 yards for a first down. Little things like that are why I think they'll get harder and harder to stop. Bell never played football until 8th grade, and this is his first year in a huge role.

I wouldn't say Fluvanna's gotten worse. Certainly not a good team this year, but I think they were worse last year.

I think Louisa is very good and I see them going a couple of rounds deep in the playoffs. Other than Dinwiddie, I would say they can beat anyone in 4A on the right night.

They fumbled it 8 times or turned it over 8 times?
