Sounds like that’s the case. What a disaster!Wouldn't it suck to be an AD right now? I guess if I'm reading this right Salem will have to find 2 games to replace Cave Spring and Hidden Valley.
Up here in the north, in 6B specifically, Prince William County has teams now playing only district opponents, meaning the Cedar Run has each team playing another in the district twice. I can see trying to schedule within a school system (PWCS in this case) to avoid another school system suddenly shutting down but why restrict it to just your district? Is this what the SW VA area is doing also?I had heard before now Pulaski wanted any games they could get if we had any cancelations. We might could get Fleming for one and Pulaski for the other? I'm sure the AD had contingency plans in case this happened. I heard this could happen a couple of weeks ago. LB scheduling GW tells me they knew something was happening.

Well there was a possibility, but it looks like Pulaski has their schedule reworked. I guess if both teams had a cancelation they could still play twice, but for now let's hope for no more issues. So are you saying there is the possibility that Salem and Pulaski could play each other twice during the "regular" season?
Salem has added Franklin County for March 19th. It will be at Franklin.Sounds like that’s the case. What a disaster!
What are the rules for attendance in FC, PC and MC? I think the kiddos in Salem get 2 parents each.
More information will be coming out hopefully soon, but expect some updated recommendations from the Governors office in the next day or so. It looks like the recommendation will allow everyone to follow along with what Pulaski County is doing concerning the band and cheerleaders being considered participants and not fans.
If this was a normal season, FC would be one of the best teams in Timesland. Don’t know how all of this affected their program.FC will add to Salem's point ratings.
The VHSL Executive Committee is meeting today to discuss exactly that. Let's hope they arrive at a decision that considers venue capacity and not set numbers, as well as the decision that band, cheer, dance, etc. do not count against spectators, but some of those groups may not choose to perform given the weather at this time of year. That would be about the best possible outcome, given that we aren't going to see "normal" any time soon, but I hope we at least get a figure based on venue capacity. What are the rules for attendance in FC, PC and MC?
