Dinwiddie played at Prince George tonight. I had the rare opportunity to spend the game in the press booth at an away game.

I can not say enough good about the way the Prince George staff and assistant coaches treated our Dinwiddie folks. They were gracious and accommodating, and readily engaged us in conversations on many topics. From the PA announcer, to the teacher from the Sports Marketing curriculum, his student operating the video display on the scoreboard, to the PG assistant coaches next to us, they are all just great folks. We thank you each and every one.

A couple of comments about the PG team. Unlike I’ve seen in previous years, those Royals never let up. They were playing just as hard on the last play of the game as on the opening KO. Not once did I see anything but good sportsmanship by those players. And an action that took place that impressed me more than anything was when they joined Dinwiddie for a post game prayer led by our team Chaplin. Dinwiddie always invites the opposing team to join our team for this post game ritual. Sadly, very few teams chose to accept this invitation. Prince George did without hesitation. The Prince George community has every right to be proud of their kids and appreciative of the program that Coach Hall has built.

Thank you again PG for the hospitality.

PG, IMO, matched up better with Dinwiddie than Dale, Petersburg and MBK did. Coach Hall is a standup, class act. PG had a really good skill position group and big linemen. Definitely had their chances on offense but that Dinwiddie defense played lights out.
