He did fail to mention De'ville Smith our new point guard.
"Disappointing as the Bulldogs have been in 2010-11, they could be
absolutely brilliant a year from now. A national championship
contender? Highly doubtful. But a Top 10-15-caliber team that could
compete for a league title before making a nice run in the NCAA
tournament?Without question.
Especially if Sidney returns.
In Dee Bost, the Bulldogs will have one of the top point guards in
the league. Five-star signee Rodney Hood, a 6-foot-7 wing, is
supposedly good enough to step immediately into the starting role that
will become vacant after senior Ravern Johnson plays his last game.
Then there’s Arnett Moultrie, the former
Texas-El
Paso standout who is projected as a first-round pick in the 2012 NBA
draft. Moultrie is sitting out this season under NCAA transfer rules,
but word out of Starkville is that he’s been the best player on the
court during practices.
Stansbury’s job is likely safe for now, but you can bet his seat will
be a warm entering the 2011-12 campaign. Sidney’s return – as long as
it includes a good attitude – could do wonders for his coach."
