Unfortunately being foolish or posting nonsense is not against the rules. Not should it be. we can all deal with such as we have. One of the uniting qualities of this guys material.
Trolling I believe is. But it's a tough job to censor posters for this kind of stuff.

If this person wants to get his or her kicks this way.. oh well. I believe in karma.
We could all put him on ignore.

Purdue losing to FDU is a massive failure for the Big Ten in every way.

The team that won the Big Ten regular season title by 3 games and the tournament title just lost a team that lost the NEC.
I don't know if you were one of the scores of mindless bozos calling for my ouster from this forum, but thank you for admitting the obvious. GO RU

Also, don't forget, FDU should not have been here at all. They were playing because Merrimack, who they lost to in their conference tournament, wasn't eligible yet to play in NCAA Tournament because they were a D2 team prior year.

People are very sensitive around here. At this point the Big Ten needs to have at least 2 of the remaining team make it to the Elite 8 or there will be a national conversation over whether the Big Ten should get less bids going forward. That conversation has already started online.

No chance Big Ten 10 gets 2 teams to the Elite 8.

Lot of apologies needed in this one.
A lot of these guys should have been banned from this board for their vile comments about me all season. No biggie though. I enjoy taking them all to school about college basketball :) Thanks for the kind words.

I can’t believe Kent State dominated IU tonight.

They completely shut down TJD. Absolutely disgusting showing from another B1G team !

Lol give it a rest bud. You're making yourself look ridiculous. The Big Ten’s "powerhouse" team who won the regular season and conference tournament lost in first round as a #1 seed against a #16 FDU (2nd time in 151 meetings) who (1) lost their conference tournament, but were playimg because Merrimack just transferred...wait for it...FROM D2, and (2) WAS SHORTEST DIVISION 1 BASKETBALL TEAM IN THE NATION. Oh boy, Indiana beat a #13 🤪

Lol bro you’ve sounded like a lunatic for the past week.

Purdue with young guards that can’t handle pressure losing a game vs a team that pressures with speed guards.

In a tournament that’s all about guard play with a HC that turns into a simpleton in March.

FDU winning isn’t completely shocking tbh.

Or are we acting like major upsets don’t happen each year? A 15 or 16 has been doing damage in the tournament for the past couple years…

I was the only poster here (1) predict a 1 point Minnesota loss; (2) call out BAC or whomever he is calling Rutgers a 95% lock, and predicted RU would get let out of field b/c we were 9th BIG team, and Committee would make example of RU for BIG poor performance recently in Tournament; (3) predict Big Ten would perform poorly AGAIN in Tournament, which it has, to a degree never seen since beginning of college basketball.

Lol! This string didn’t age well!

It’s not that it didn’t get well - it might age just fine - the problem with this thread is that it is premature

Granted the Purdue loss was really bad but overall the Big10 is 5-3 and the other two losses were 8-9 matchups (by definition a total toss up) . The big 10 is 3-1 in the games they “should have won”

This is hardly bad

So as of right now the thread is more of wishcast on the part of the OP

Whether his post ages well remains to be seen because as of now it’s a fail

If every team won the games they were supposed to seed wise. The Big Ten would be in the same boat currently, with 2 teams in the sweet 16 and 1 in the elite eight.

It’s just a dumb take. So I guess the wins over WVU, Marquette, Gonzaga and Duke were mirages? Any team on any night can beat the other in hoops.

The second time ever a 16 beat a 1 isn't shocking to you???
Not really. I mean Purdue was by far the weakest 1 with a really clear scouting report.

I’m mad I didn’t bet on FDU, but I took Princeton ML the day before.

Lmao it’s just not even a good troll at this point.

Just want to get it in writing. How many B1G teams need to make the sweet 16 or elite 8 for the B1G to be considered successful in your eyes?

I just don’t get the argument he’s making. They punished the Big Ten for poor tournament performances and instead decided to give that at large bid to the Mountain West who had lost their last 10 tournament games?

This thread sucks.

The problem is that RutgersClassof2004 is probably on the committee since they employ the same braindead logic.

Haha! :) The funny thing is, I am an RU diehard, call into Knightline half the games, bleed scarlet, and these bozos rip me for making accurate calls every time. BIG crapped the bed for the ages, worse than every preceding year. Thank God RU has best talent in school history coming in. Gonna need it. Go RU!
As we’ve pointed out your a look at me attention getter. Dialing into knightline or posting here doesn’t make you a diehard. If your calls were accurate you wouldn’t get the backlash.

Even blind squirrels find a nut occasionally. Most bracketologists had us in yet your such a savant you were able to see it coming. Give me a break. The only reason to post crap like that is for attention.

Ill out, IA getting blown out, NW could lose to Boise. Not good for conference. Maybe 6 bids coming next year. RU needs to get better fast. Go RU
Exactly. The thread was posted at 8:30 pm on Thursday, specifically talking about the "bad" start the B1G was off to, which ended up being wrong, as we went 3-2 on the day, all in basically toss-up games (7-10 seeds), which is a good, not great day. That's it. That's all the thread was about - it has nothing to do with anything after Thursday. Purdue losing to FDU, but the op has tried to turn it into that, since the original premise of the thread failed so badly.

Yes, but that has nothing to do with the thread's original intent, which was simply how we were doing on Thursday.
