I’m not sure how this was done but Zach Bogle released pre seeds based on WrestleStat. These won’t be the seeds because they’re done by committee where wrestlestat I consider similar to RPI. I bet they’re fairly close when it’s all said and done, but anyways here they are:

Spratley 4 - So weird Big 12 is stacked on 125. Figuero is tough match up for Sprately , but if he wins, it will do him a big help on NCAA seeding.

Poulin hasn’t lost and they have similar wins. Out of conference stuff isn’t factored in technically I don’t think.

Referring to Spratley at #4 and his loss to WV kid. Does head to head wins matter that much when looking at the total record and quality wins? I wouldn't think that loss would hurt his seeding much considering all his big top 10 wins. Personally I think he will get the 2 seed maybe the #1 seed bc Fig hasn't wrestled much.

The issue here is all his top 10 wins are not big12 opponents. So while it is a committee discussion and people likely inherently consider those, technically this is only about big12 competition. Of the three ranked in front of him he only wrestled Strickenberger and got pinned.

The thing about 125 is the difference is so minimal that the top four seeds do not matter that much to who wins it as you have to beat two studs to be the champion regardless of your seed.

It’s not about the seeds. It’s about the guys we got those guys fighting to achieve their goals.

There is no offense unit, no defense unit, no special teams unit. These guys are the unit!

By themselves, they are all 3.

Probably correct, but Hamiti deserves the #1 seed. Nothing against KOT, he rules and his absence due to injury was legitimate. But I think you have to reward the guys that show up and wrestle and prior year results shouldn't factor into seeds except as a tiebreaker.

Wrestling to seed with our share of bonus points will probably win it. Top ranked teams rarely do that. Not being seeded at 149 should help us. We do have a few higher seeds that will be tough to hold. A third or fourth place Teague Travis would be of great help.

Real talk. How do y'all keep up with the tournament? I have duties this weekend - errands, family time (kiddo is learning how to ride a bike so I'll be outside running next to her lol)

I got ESPN+/KSPI/KOSU on my phone, some earbuds... wife understands that I'll be pausing life for 7 wrestle-minutes at a time...

Interested to hear how others consume the tourney.
