Major Burns could have worded it differently, but I think this is a great subject arriving at the appropriate time, just as the season is poised to begin.
Don't you luxuriate in the chance to have posters revive fratboy and a few others who have distinguished themselves for their idiocy as we prepare for the beginning of the season? I do.
I nominate fratboy, sigertma, BUC2288, yada, abab2828, wwsbob and TRD.
it's not even close. for his actions here and on other message boards for several years. hhstigerfan or whatever. rightly or wrongly, my impression of herscher was/is permanently and negatively impacted by him.
HHS or GoldenDome/HF guy are tops.
It's been a very thin line at times between being an idiot and a genius on these forums...
Fratboy disliked everyone equally. Although most Catholic schools and Stinkin Way East(his words not mine) were at the top of the list. Besides his beloved Celtics i think he liked MS. LOLOL
Totally agree. I don’t really have a problem with anyone on here except people that openly lie when everyone knows it’s a lie. I mean be a man and admit your wrong, it’s what I make my children do.

I think they tell their fairy tales forgetting that Google exists and the stories they tell are not being told in a vacuum.
The second group comes on this forum and repeats a rumor which has no basis in fact, for the sole purpose of smearing either a coach, player or in the case I am thinking of, an entire high school.

I am not sure whether to laugh at this thread or feel disgusted by it. Have we run out of things to talk about this badly that we have to dredge up scum from the past? Just wondering.

And oh lordy! I can't believe I forgot about Golden Domer/IG88 and Furmunda Cheez........I must be in the early stages of dementia.

Just laugh. Memories are what makes it all interesting, good and bad.
I usually don't like to talk about anyone who can't defend themselves. However, they can't defend themselves because they were kicked off the board. So, MWittman and mchslumni: You're both probably right, I should laugh, although I can't think of anyone who hasn't been mentioned to add to the growing list. Honestly, I don't even recognize some of the ones you mention. But, you both have been here longer than me. See how easily I am persuaded?

I have an idea...and tell me if you like it. Maybe we could spice this up a little more if you, and anyone else can tell some stories about the guys you mention to bring the rest of us up to speed as to the history behind their getting booted. I'd like to know the history of the board in that regard.
MWittman, maybe you could write several chapters to a novel titled: "Booted, Everything You Wanted to Know About Guys Getting Kicked Off The Edgy Board but Were Afraid To Ask."

I am fairly confident you are familiar with fratboy, at least one of his countless incarnations. This forum's first and only known case of syphilis, fratboy's singular goal here was to create utter pandemonium. He did it with regularity and some success.
Furmunda Cheez was an absolutely useless human being. In the short time he was a member, I have no memory of FC ever posting any substantive message here. An utterly loathsome creature, the only post I recall was near his last and revolved around him fantasizing over dancing in front of Montini mothers, gals he referred to as "Milfs" and how he was an object of their desire. He departed the forum shortly after.
I'd write more, but the mental picture of FC is so revolting...........
Iggy88 was just aggravating to say the least. Never contributed to any conversation on the board. I remember one time on the opening weekend for games he must have posted 30-40 times in the space of an hour. Just dead from the neck up. Fratboy was a different story. His posts were long and drawn out, and always right up to the very edge of what gets people booted. I can see why he got under peoples skin

This site has plenty of great content, but the different perspectives occasionally (okay maybe often) clashing is what makes this message board boat float in my opinion.
I understand there are terms of usage. Violations have to be dealt with accordingly.
There is a big part of me that longs for a world where people could put themselves in others’ shoes and step out of their singular lives and ideas be it rural, suburban, urban, boundary, non-boundary, red, blue, green, or Herscher gold and black - whatever. I must admit that since this is only a microcosm of real life I thoroughly enjoy reading or watching the train wreck carnage unfold when some of the aforementioned posters would take to their keyboard battlefield. Who doesn’t like a good dumpster fire every now and then?

Many do not remember the beginnings of this board. it all started with the Chicago suntimes message board. It truly was the wild wild west. Edgy came in like Wyatt Earp and cleaned things up. Mind you it took awhile. No one and I mean NO ONE compared to the famed "Sammy the Bull"... Not Fermunda, not Fratboy, NO ONE.
Right but you have to admit it was funny to read his stupid crap. Even though these type of characters wanted to make us all vomit a little we still couldn’t help ourselves by reading theirs stupid nonsense. Lol

I understand your point here, believe me I do. Like you, I found myself tantalized by FC's boundless stupidity and relished the opportunity to respond to him when he posted. Similarly, there was something hypnotic about IG88/Golden Domer. In addition to both being entertaining in a fatuous way, both were inveterate liars.
In one instance (one of countless), I caught IG88 is a fabrication I simply could not let go. After claiming he graduated from Notre Dame in 1994, I called him out and demanded he reveal in which dorm he resided. He responded he had lived his entire senior year in Holy Cross Hall. Pure fantasy, I nabbed him by explaining to the entire board Holy Cross had been demolished in 1990, a full FOUR years before he claimed he had received his degree.
Regarding FC, the man could never keep his lies straight. When some poster had inquired of him the high school from which he graduated, he initially replied "Mascoutah," but later claimed he graduated from either Wauconda or Grayslake. I don't remember which, but it matters little.
The good news is clowns like FC and IG88 always seem to get their comeuppance, whether it be from a poster or their own willful ignorance. Who could ever forget the incessant boasting IG/Golden Domer broadcast throughout the 2015 season? All season long, IG sermonized over HF's invincibility and when they got beat by a 4-4 Bolingbrook in week nine, IG wet his pants and pulled a Casper the Friendly Ghost for the next eight days. He returned, regrettably, for the playoffs with his typical swagger, vowed in another inane "Official Statement from Golden Domer" he'd never return if HF lost again, and disappeared after LA unceremoniously dismissed the Vikings from the playoffs.
Thankfully, and mercifully, he never returned. At risk of appearing a bit conceited, the greatest post I ever composed was my stab at him after the Vikings lost to 'Brook in week nine that year.
