Biggest Jerk?

Hurley has a long way to go to be the jerk Bob Knight was, but he has the years ahead of him to do it.
One of the saddest things I’ve seen in sports is Bobby Knight ranting to Dan Patrick about how he doesn’t forgive the people who brought him down at IU and hoped they were dead followed by the young daughters of the player he abused releasing balloons in his memory, which was part of the Knight 30 for 30. A supreme *******.
If you didn't vote for Knight, it surely means you're just too young to know. That said, Hurley’s arrogance is off the charts.
Yeah, that. Bob Knight was an insufferable *** of biblical proportions, full stop. Hurley is an abrasive egomaniac, but he’s not there yet. I’m glad Florida sent him home.
I know Hurley can be a dick but the guy has been through a lot in his life. Something about him I like.
Not a contest. Knight laps the track. I see Coach K as more of a whiner than a jerk. Hurley has his moments, but he's not yet in the same discussion with Knight.
He was a heck of a coach but man could he ruffle the feathers. A lot of his stuff was funny as hell. The "game face" post game was gold. He was from a different era where no f&#$ks were given. For all the hoopla over Coach K, he dropped a crap ton of F Bombs on the sidelines. Everyone thought he was an angel but the man learned from Knight. He just knew to keep the game away from outside appearances.
As someone already alluded to above, Knight simply spread his assery out of many more years. He's a hall of famer ******* if you will. Hurley hasn't been in the game as long but his innate talent for being an ******* is off the charts. He is closing the distance quickly on old Knight. Both seem like abusive psychopaths to me.

IF HURLEY HAD ACCEPTED OUR 12 MILLION DEAL, WE WOULD LOVE HIM.

This BS where people and Matt Jones say good thing Hurley didn't accept so Mitch didn't have to deal with another big ego after Calipari... WHAT !!!! MAN fk Mitch Barnhart who cares about him.
If that's why Mitch went after quiet soft scott drew and then straight to Pope, that's a terrible reason. But I also don't agree with Mitch and co refusing to go after Bruce pearl or Beard or Nate Oats. The list should have been resume based 1 through 10 but whatever I digress
I personally love Hurley attitude, I hate uconn but he's first enemy coach I've liked. It was hilarious when he was yelling after that one game "i got two rings, two rings baldy"... yelling at a bald heckler when he himself is bald...hilarious

let met go find the Mike Krzyzewski talking with the ESPN interview over Grayson Allen tripping everyone years ago....that one is a nice example of just how pathetic and horrible that rat bastard is.
Agree 100%, BB ! Was just considering whether to post what you said, or wait for the several others on the board who are old enough to understand that this is a "no contest" poll. Agree, also, that Hurley's arrogance is off the charts ... but, nevertheless, the level to which Knight was a despicable human being may never be surpassed - ever ! ! !
Just MHO, of course. I'll appreciate hearing the thoughts of others on this board who (for example) actually saw Knight throw the chair across the floor, as opposed to merely reading about that event as a matter of history.
i just dont like Hurleys face. knight was hated because he was from next door Indiana but his teams played hard and like Woddy Hayes, toward the end of his career he got crazy throwing chairs and choking players. Hurley could become Knight part two but not at UCONN. He needs to be someplace like Indiana , a place that needs a real revival and a team and state that the coach can do no wrong.

Knight seemed like a sociopath and was known to be emotionally, verbally and physically abusive at times. A lot of people overlooked a ton of major character flaws because the guy won a lot of games. Once the winning fell off, his antics were no longer tolerated. Funny how that works.

Knight was insufferable as a person. The other guys might be arrogant and annoying basketball coaches, but they're not in the same league as Bobby Knight.
Hurley is in recovery iirc. He has a massive ego...that is a problem for anyone in recovery.
