having them stuck between a tough Conference USA opponent to start the season and LSU could be tough for us

I would define it as a game that a team (in reality more like a fan base) could accidentally overlook BECAUSE :

their overblown sense of how good they are based on the previous game (check)

How much they are taking for GRANTED the ablility of the trap team to beat them (my problem here)

AND they are looking too much at the next game. (which LSU doesnt present more of a motivation for us to win than auburn)

Auburn could fit that if we believe they are SMU after the death penalty, but they arent. They seemed to have won the national championship 8 months ago. We arent talking about UAB here.

I dont know who would fit that description, but to think it's auburn is a bit of unjustified arrogance.

It is hard to consider them as a trap game:
Pre season rankings are about like ours:

</div></div>

sandwiched in between Georgia, and South Carolina we will probably be coming off a hard fought game thengoing on the road @UAB and looking ahead to South Carolina coming to StarkVegas.

It's an 11 am game in a crappy away stadium between two SECE matchups. LaTech comes in at a close second, but the fact that we lost to them last time (need we reminding of this aGAIN) will keep us from losing again. However, LaTech does follow a crazy stretch where we play 2 SEC teams within 5 days. Still, the UAB has much more trap potential. I don't see the margin of victory of defeat being all that much in the @UGA game, so we might come out flat the following week.

They are no pushover and they have a decent QB in Bryan Ellis... This one has been on my Trap list since they gave us a scare last year...

I hope Coach34 was joking or had his account hacked. Memphis is one of the worst teams in division 1 football. However, I do think Auburn is a trap game. Everyone seems to think we should beat them but they still have a more talented roster than we do along with Gus Malzahn.

between two very difficult ones, against a team that you should beat almost every time and you can either, have a let down after your previous big win, or overlook thm thinking it will be an easy win, and start thinking about your next opponent too early.

Having said that, if we haven't had this Auburn game circled since A) the bought Cam out from under us two January's ago and B) losing when we should have won last year in Starkville when they had Cam, then we will probably lose. I'm pretty sure that they will not be overlooking the Tigers, and will want to inflict a little revenge for what has transpired over the past 18 months.

Memphis is more of a trap than Auburn because I guarantee we will be working on things for Auburn these next two weeks. Our team knows we should beat the 17 out of Memphis and could look forward to returning the favor against AU on the plains.
