When the Horns were looking for Mack's replacement, I thought they may look at Briles and asked a UT booster if Briles would be on the Horns' short list. He told me "not if I have any say so, and I do", but he didn't expound further. He also didn't get the coach he wanted either. I've since heard a couple of really strange things that Briles has done that, if true, makes him sound a bit nutty. Woody Hayes nutty! It's funny how some really good to great football coaches have a screw missing.

Art Briles reminds me a lot of Danny Ford in his appearance and demeanor. Art has that same "dumb" look that Danny had. Maybe its the way he wears his cap. Take a look at some of Ford's photos when he was coaching at Clemson and Arkansas, and see if you don't see the resemblance.
