Said he has known Jackie ever snce he was a H.S. coach and Jackie was grad assistant at Bama, use to visit a lot back in those days. Brewer made 57k his first year (83) and his last year 250K, now strength coaches make 200k. He also stated when he took over in 83 he thought the football program would have had many upgrades but it was the same as it was when he played (finished in 60).
