I don't know if anyone else watched it or not but the courtside reporter asks him intially about a 10 second question. Gillespie just looks completely dazed and is not even paying attention and responds with "Would you mind repeating that, I couldn't hear you". She asks the question again, he starts to slur his words and is just a smartass to her. I have never heard him interview so I have no idea what he is like but he just struck me as odd and really seemed drunk.

Serious question. He looks and acts it.

Either that, or he is going batshit crazy from the pressure.

because she asked him a "stupid question" during the last UK ESPN broadcast. Something about Meeks not doing **** the first half and he was like "first of all, we're not U of Meeks, we're U of K", etc. Anyway, he hate her.

He actually told a reporter she asked a bad question. I don't remember what it was, but it was something about Meeks not scoring, so you would think she was going to ask about that.

In every way. I don't see this joker being in Rupp long. Way, way over his head from the get go. He'd have been a better fit in Fayettenam.

Five more years on a contract worth $2.5 million a year. Yeah, his career sucks.
But are you some kind of hillbilly Kentucky fan? Maybe I don't read enough. Someone please explain.

"But are you some kind of hillbilly Kentucky fan? Maybe I don't read enough. Someone please explain"

and he became a sixpack regular because he can type one-liners and post pictures of a hottub...He hates Les Miles and swore he'd never win 10 games, much less a NC in 2007..and after betting me the loser would leave the board, he left after he lost for awhile.

He is now back in full force spouting his wisdom about the SEC only getting 3 teams in the NCAA's because of the conference's weak RPI even though Slive said conference RPI's dont matter and each team is judged on an individual basis...He also constantly joked about me saying LSU had the best 5 starters in the SEC, but that has really died since the lead the entire SEC at 7-1...

He's basically a joke, like Brutius, but is good entertainment for the board...

My boss's brother lives in Lexington and was watching one of UK's early season games at a bar down by Rupp. He swears that 30 minutes after the game, while the fan call in portion of the UK postgame show was still on the radio, Gillespie was already in the bar drinking.

The stories out of Lexington about Gillespie also have him with his own personal driver because he usually has no business being behind the wheel and he apparently has a lot in common with Richard Williams.

With all the stories out of Lexington about Gillespie, I would be more surprised if he didn't sound drunk half the time or if he didn't have a Joe Namath - Suzy Kolber moment in his future.

but he's failing miserably at it. Kentucky fans are realizing that maybe 10-loss Tubby wasn't so bad after all.

10 loss Tubby is the a big part of today's problem. Most Kentucky fans realize that.

I don't think he is high or drunk. I think he can not stand sideline reports. She asked a question last night about defending the UF guard and the UK guard scoring more. The question made sense. However, he made a comment about her knowing more than him because he never heard of "that". I thought he was being a smartass.
