9 steals, 7 ABs, 1 start

He is averaging more than a steal per AB and game played. He has yet to be caught stealing, which might be even more amazing at this point since everyone knows he is running.

Here is a question for yall: Do you guys view Billy Hamilton as a Bulldog, even though he never showed at MSU?

I was wondering the same thing in regards to Ole Miss. Should Ole Miss fans root for the guys that we signed last year, but that went directly to pro baseball instead of showing up at Ole Miss? I mean technically they have no connection to Ole Miss other than signing a sheet of paper.

There is obviously nothing wrong with pulling and rooting for said kids. It's not like they had to attend our universities in order for us to like them. I just don't know if I can consider those kids as "Ole Miss" players since they never actually played for us.

Not so much a bulldog, but more of just a small town Mississippi boy who is probably one of the fastest to play the game.

No. Don't really think of him as a Bulldog at all. It is good to see a Mississippi boy do good though.

Same here. I also pull for him. I actually usually pull for most MS athletes once they make the pros (unless they are/were a complete 17up)

No but will follow his career. Ron Polk signed a ton of players in the 80's and early 90's who never made it to State. Jay Tibbs....Jay Bell...Reid Cornelious...Todd Ritchie....Adam Hyzdu....Greg Blosser...Roy Oswalt...just some of the players I remember who signed and turned pro. Polk was losing so many players he signed that he changed recruiting tactics. In the early 90's and started going after kids that would come to school. I followed all the players but never considered them State guys

Wow, I didn't realize yall signed Jay Bell or Roy Oswalt. Damn, that would have been nasty had they shown up for yall. (I don't recognize the others, though, but I'm only 30)
