As for Ole Miss just evaluating Austin, Yancy confirmed they aren't taking any other high school wide outs, "which knocks a lot of fat off of the bone from our updated hot list."

Here's what he had to say about DeAndre Woods and B.J. Hammond.

Both players attended one of the camps at Ole Miss in early June and what we have gathered is that DeAndre Woods is a baller (which means stud) and B.J. Hammond will is overrated.

Woods is going to end up a very good receiver for MSU and Hammond has the physical skills on the hoof but is high maintenance and soft, according to one of my sources. It will be interesting to see how these two develop as Hammond is rated a mid 3-star and DeAndre is a low 3-star.

**Lucky us! Glad Ole Miss didn't want them!

In this crootin' class so far, that's 3 of our 4 WR's over 6' tall; that's quite the paradigm shift. 6'3" > 5'10"

247sports (the most respected cruitin' site these days) has him as the 10th best MS prospect, so yeah, he should be in the dandy dozen mix

also, in response to the yancy c&p about woods and hammond, 247sports has woods rated aas a high 3* (89/100) and hammond as a mid 3* (85/100).

said many consider Austin as the top WR in MS for 2013 class. If I'm not mistaken, Rod chooses the DD, so he should easily make the list.

If we manage to pull Rumph, we will be set at WR. I'm not sure if Dak or Cord pay attention to commitments, but if they do, they will love this list of guys. Just another example of Dan going out and assessing needs year in and year out.

Our entire roster @ WR/TE over 6'2:
Joe Morrow - 6'4
Rufus Warren - 6'5

Our commitment list over 6'2:
DeAndre Woods - 6'3
Scott Austin - 6'4

IMO the only remaining WR target on our board: JUCO Jonathan Rumph - 6'5
