Just heard Schiano mention that Saturday's game against Temple will be a black-out.

While many find the "tradition" to be a bad omen, I feel good about it happening against this particular opponent.

Does it say “Wear black to the game” on the tickets?
It does not, but it is noted in the online schedule.

They better do more to get the word out if it is a blackout game. Prior to this post I haven't seen it anywhere

I kinda blacked out Saturday through Sunday this past weekend while up in Jersey with a wedding and then to the game , all fun.

Look forward to the complaining of why some fans wear red. I saw many people not wearing red to Sunday’s game

It doesn’t say anything on my tickets. Maybe mine are fraudulent.
Same. There is no reference to blackout game on the digital tickets in my Wallet nor in the app. I get the emails but forgot this was the blackout game.

It’s not a bad omen. We’ve won some really fun games in blackout days - Arkansas and Michigan are two that come to mind.

My wife went to both with me and danced on the midfield R after Michigan.

When we saw the Arkansas victory, she didn't understand what the B1G deal was. SMFH

I am always divided on blackouts- first, if you do it- do it during warm weather and at night. Easy to find a black teeshirt or sweatshirt than it is to find a black outer coat for a cold game. And at night because some daytime blackouts have been in major heat and for some reason- a f-ing blackout in the sun just makes no optic sense.
But if done right, at night, it can be fun. Also- forget black t-shirts to first 3000- you already told us to wear black- and first 3k will be the people that wore black. Give the black cloths to everyone to be waving during the game. I still have at least 3 of those.
Now- why I hate the for Rutgers- we have a color in our name. Our 2006 crowd shots and the storm the field- was as iconic of CFB as there is anywhere- you mention that game anywhere and everyone remembers th crowd of scarlet rushing that field. Best field celebration image in history. If that was a blackout game...hmmmmm jus not the same.
An- been there many times when a full stadium, everyone in scarlet, night game, 3rd down or "good" RU chant - our stadium and fans make their mark in scarlet.

Possible rain will blow up the blackout unfortunately because of jackets and ponchos. Hoping we can have a dry game...
