Close friend with ties to Virginia Tech saying that decision is likely today by Blackshear. Supposedly, it's between Virginia Tech and the Vols.

The announcer on the pa system said that if you see the brown chair out before the game, you'll know the Baron is coming. I hope my friend's source on Blackshear is wrong.

I do appreciate any insight into what has turned into a circus, but why go thru all this and come to a decision between staying put or making a lateral move?
If the young mans intentions were truly to enter the draft, get feedback on what he needs to improve upon but decides to stay at VT or transfer to Tennessee, how exactly is this going to improve his game?
Going against future NBA guys on a daily basis or this?
Only time he will see national TV exposure while at VT or Tennessee will be when they play one of the top teams in their conference; UK, Duke, UNC.
Sorry Vol lurkers but you shot your wad last year.

OP, can you explain this?
When might we hear an announcement if Kerry Blackshear and Cal have reached an agreement? Cal has an important function to perform tonight at the NBA draft and doesn't need a distraction until his trip is completed and he returns home. Logic would seem to indicate that an announcement will be made once the dust settles. Cal needs to inform the Kentucky players and staff in person. He may do that with Kerry present. It is my guess that late Friday or Saturday is the earliest we will hear something if he has chosen Kentucky. It could be announced publicly in a tweet by Kerry!!!

Your friend's source is wrong, because Kerry doesn’t even know where he's going yet.

The only way someone outside the Blackshear's knows anything at all is if they had their house bugged.

Nobody knows.

BTW, who is your friend? Is he some Joe Schmo neighbor of yours? What are his ties to VT?

Spill the beans or continue to he labeled as a troll.

So I guess the rumor of blackshear’s friend saying it’s 95 percent Kentucky is wrong?

Not sure I am ready to believe someone with a dozen posts as having inside info, but I will say this, if he picks either, he deserves what he gets. How did being in Blacksburg work for him in this year's draft, and how did playing in Knoxville work for Williams? After being POY twice in the SEC, he was drafted outside the lottery, while a freshman from UK, who was ranked in the mid 30's in his class, is a lottery pick. If he can't see the benefit of playing for Cal, then like I said, he deserves what he gets.
