He is in the Lebby Buddy Club with all of our horrible assistant coaches.

Kamario is obviously who needs to be playing, but that is not happening. The fact that he had more carries than both our running backs against Missouri should have Lebby fired. I hope Kamario doesn't hit the transfer portal.

It also sucks that we have former Mississippi State quarterbacks playing better at LSU and Baylor, and another one leading East Carolina to a possible playoff spot.

What a bizarre post…. Shapen has literally zero control over any of the reasons why you say you hate him.

He’s a lot like Will Rogers… likable, hard worker, gives you everything he’s got, limited in ability.

Well our agreements end here. Ya'll are taking the MSU infatuation of backup QBs to a level never seen before.

And implying that MiKe WrIgHt is the starting QB at ECU is disingenuous. Come on man.

ETA: I do admire your troll factor. That's the only way this can be a real post.

I've never seen a fanbase who just schitt talks it's own players like ours. Will Rogers, Tolu Smith, Hunter Hines, Blake Shapen. And then we schitt talk our professional players like Fletcher Cox and Chris Jones when they don't say Mississippi State during pregame introductions and complain about them not giving enough money to NIL.

We shlt talk football players the most, basketball some, baseball the least. Probably has to do with winning, right? Duh.

But anyways if we ever want to pull out of this drain circling behavior we need to intentionally make changes in our thinking. Mullen told us how to do it. Until we do it, combined with a AD-wide strategic plan for football.......history will continue.

Occam's razor say they both are going to struggle. Shapen bc he needs more time than the line can reliably provide. KT bc he's inexperienced and also makes some bizarrely inaccurate throws.

Plenty to criticize Lebby on but sticking with the most experienced QB is not one of them.

MVB is all world at LSU, might win the Heisman.

Comparing Big 12 competition against SEC is wild, but I guess some people see that as equal. If we were in the Big 12 Shapen would have us at the top of the conference.

And Mike Wright and East Carolina blowing up Army, Tulsa, Temple and Charlotte. Not so great against Tulane, the only ranked opponent.

But all things are equal.

And Shedeur is a great NFL QB.

Combine this thread with the 1 school thread and you can see why OM is having greater success than we are at the moment. OM fans are basically “all in” on their school, teams, and players. We’re divided on nearly everything. He’ll, we can’t even agree if baseball should be supported.

and in the other QBs cases, their OL does not get run over by opposing teams DL.

I often think about this. What are the times in the past when MSU has been unified in football? In my lifetime, 1991 and 1992, but that ended quickly with more 'Backup QB is always better' and an Egg Bowl loss. Then again in 2009 and 2010, but we also lost that quickly. Had guys trying to fire the coach literally 3 years after that in both cases.

Experience does not always trump ability. Especially when one aspect of that ability is sorely needed to help compensate for a crappy o-line. We saw it with our own eyes this Saturday. At this point what do we have to lose?

Find me one really good pass he’s thrown.

1!

Like a really good pass. Not a 10 yard out route that hit the receivers hand.

he’s only completed 15 so it should be easy!

You lumping Shapen in with Sydney??? They are polar opposites. Sydney had worlds of talent but an apparent entitled attitude and lazy work ethic. Shapen not talented on the same level compared to Sydney but gives you his all and takes a beating doing so. And as far as I know Shapen hasn’t issued his version of a Hawaiian Punch.

Shapen comp % 64.4 Rushing 28 yards on 111 attempts Avg 0.25 YPA
Taylor Comp % 62.5 Rushing 244 yards on 44 attempts Avg 5.5 YPA

What if I told you that out of all the games this season in which KT has played, NOT ONCE has Shapen posted a better QB rating? After all the talk last week about him being our best chance to take down Missouri, what are your thoughts about this magical performance?

1763499965924.png

All that said, I'm not mad at Shapen for doing the best he can out there. He's giving us everything he's got.

I'm mad at the "no wasted plays" moron that we've got roaming the sidelines.

I dunno….maybe work Quay Evans in there somewhere?

He didn’t take as many sacks as Shapen, but he did, you know, commit murder….
I remember about 6 years ago, the Hail State Auctions site was selling his 2013 Auburn game jersey. I emailed them. They were oblivious.

This is a bad argument. We don't need KT to throw really pretty passes. We need him to be capable of making completions while keeping the offense moving.
Also, despite the criticism about his accuracy, he's completing his passes at roughly the same rate as Shapen, while maintaining a significantly higher rating for the season... Oh and no picks

Kamario Taylor’s stats and numbers this year are case of small-sample, smoke and mirrors, inflated by cherry-picked situations and weak competition. He’s had some success in mop up duty and gadget roles that hides flaws.

Cute you found a wide open guy against Alcorn state!

First round draft pick incoming!!
You are one pathetic loser. I showed you stats to back up my point. You insisted on one good pass from Taylor assuring us there wasn’t one. I found one in two seconds just humor you. Then that wasn’t good enough. Make up your mind.

Taylor’s stat line this year is the college football equivalent of a TikTok highlight reel set to dramatic music. It looks unstoppable for 60 seconds, but it’s nine touchdowns in situations where the defense was either asleep, confused, or had already quit. Give him the keys for four full quarters against an Alabama or a Texas, or even Missouri’s defense, when they know he’s starting all week. Then we’ll see how many of those stats survive contact with reality. Until then, keep enjoying the sizzle, but it ain’t the steak.
