Saints put a 2nd rounder tender on Pierre Thomas.

This means that if a team offers Thomas a contract and the Saints don't match it, the Saints get a 2nd round pick from that team.

And all signs are pointing to Bush staying but they are going to restructure.

in round 3

On a related note, I saw McShay rave about how Hardesty really helped his draft stock at the Combine

Especially with guys like T. Jones on the market. I think he would be a good fit for the Saints. Could this open the door for LT to NO?

I also think there will be several RB's in the 2nd round that could step in and be very good.

In today's NFL, a 2nd round draft pick can be more valuable than a first rounder, especially if it is an early or mid second round pick. <div>
</div><div>Unless your team has Al Davis as the GM, you are not going to give away a 2nd round pick for a player that is a solid RB, but I wouldn't say he is a gamebreaker. He fits the offense really well, but I think the Saints' offense could fit most RB's.</div><div>
</div><div>Im assuming they will tender Jahri Evans with a 1st and a 3rd rounder, and honestly I could see a team in the back end of the draft sign him to an offer sheet and pay that for Evans. If you are picking 25-28 wouldn't you rather have a Pro Bowl OG instead of hoping that the guy from Idaho will play well? Evans is young and it is something I would look at if I was an opposing GM.</div>

they have Slaton and Moats already to share time with whomever, and I don't think bringing in a young RB helps them...they need a veteran

Outrageous I imagine. But the rebs are playing Tulane that Saturday, so may as well make it a long weekend.

But to your post, it's only a win if they get a comparable replacement. Though second round picks are pretty valuable.

I only paid $300 for NFC Championship game. I know the Dallas tickets were $100 plus last year, so not much more than that. That should be a great weekend to be in NOLA......

I think we might sign LT if the money is right, and the Saints will still draft a RB. I do not expect to see Mike Bell back next year.

See Green, Ahman. While I think either of LT or Jones would be a better pickup than Ahman was, when was the last time the Texans picked up a big-name free agent? They just don't do it. So I wouldn't expect it. They like to build through the draft. I think they take a bigger RB to complement Slaton (and Moats) in round 2 or 3.

seriously, stitched on numbers, has the captain's patch and super bowl patch. NFL logos look perfect, even the labels are in proper english, which on knockoffs they usually aren't. It's legit quality.

If you can find someone else who wants one go in together, they only charge one shipping charge for up to 20 jerseys I think. I'm mad now I didn't just get a couple others, either for other people or maybe a baseball jersey. Hell, they're $22, normally about $100 in a store.

I just don't think Slaton, Moats, and a rookie is the ideal situation for a team looking to take the next step into the playoffs..I think they would get alot more out of Jones and Slaton splitting 28 carries a game

Not really, but he has such an issue holding onto it, after his career year of ~270 carries in 08, he only had ~130 in 2009. Also, his 3.3 YPC last year is nothing to be thrilled at.

They've got enough of a passing attack to have a legit running game, and I'm not sure if Moats or Slaton can be their go to guy.

I wonder what PimpDoggy will do. It's going to be tough but maroon and white will win out.

A veteran who can split the total number of carries would help a lot next season. And I think Jones and even LT have another good year or two in them.

Something I didn't notice until earlier - the Texans had the NFL's third highest payroll this past year. And still couldn't make the playoffs. That's ridiculous. At least we're not the Giants (who were #1, 10M ahead of #2 Miami).

Does the jersey rule not apply to baseball jerseys? They have a sweet Ryne Sandberg jersey on there I wouldn't mind having.

If they would start selling soccer jerseys as well, I'd have to give them a try. Would love to sport the Miss America USA soccer jersey.
