What did you think? This was the first time I've seen anything on him other than from a highlight tape (who doesn't look good on a highlight tape?). My thoughts on him is that he appears to be a bigger, faster, and stronger Relf. Unfortunately, his passing skills resembled Relf's as well.

I'm certainly not going to make a judgment based on one game, but his passing abilities looked like they could use some improvement. However, you really can't argue with his stats going into this game (22TD:4INT, 62% completion, 2,700 yards) and I think alot of that was attributed to ****** o-line protection and a few dropped balls today. Anyone with a little QB technique knowledge watch and have anything to add on his passing abilities?

That being said, I hope Joe Blow announcer knows something we don't and is right about Newton. He's certainly a gifted athlete.

RT @call_me_WALLACE: Probably another bad sign for KState: Jay Norvell and Josh Heupel on the Blinn sideline. From bad to worse? Hmmm....

K-State defensive coordinator Vic Koenning has now joined Dana Dimel and Del Miller on the Blinn sideline.

Oklahoma and Kansas State are still recruiting hard.

This is not over folks.

Oklahoma is obviously recruiting him, especially if they sent their own former QB Josh Heupel out there. I doubt he goes to K State. That just wouldnt make any sense. But I'm really afraid of what Oklahoma can offer him. His relationship with Mullen is definitely a plus, but if this wants to be the next Donovan McNabb, which is what I've been comparing him to, Oklahoma is the best place to do that at. This is gonna come down to the last day.

that OU wants him so bad. They don't need him but he could help them so I can't blame him. The already have Blake Bell commited as well. Yes, Jones looked bad but he is suppose to be a 5 star parade all america. I really will hate OU if they get him. 17ing Boomer Sooners!

I would make darn sure that I let Cam know that despite what Stoops is saying, there is a possibility of him leaving for ND.

Now, rationally speaking I don't think it will happen, but I would definately put that thought in Cam's head of the possibility.

...Stoops or Brian Kelly. Stoops is a Midwestern guy (played at Iowa under Hayden Fry), has managed a major college program (arguably, Oklahoma has as much if not more prestige and tradition as Notre Dame), and the Sooner boosters are getting tired of not winning National Championships, and moving out of town might be his best option for now.

Cam has said the he wants to be "the man" for two years. He did not want to sit behind Tebow. While there is no guarantee that he starts here, I think his chances are better here than they are at Oklahoma. Oklahoma has another five star quarterback (Blake Bell) committed now in addition to the guys they already have on campus.

His chances of achieving the goals that he has are better here than at Oklahoma or Kansas State. I remember reading an article that suggested that he fell for the "sales pitch" at Florida and ended up having to sit behind Tebow which he didn't want to do. In my opinion, Oklahoma could be snowing him with another "sales pitch".

That might be a better argument for us.

are saying that some of their current QB's may not be returning next year and their not talking about Bradford. I still think is crazy to go there with Jones and Bell commited. Their also saying Bell may graduate early to be there in the spring. I don't know if its true but OU doesn't need Cam like we do.

Those are OPINIONS from random fans on Twitter.

If Oklahoma and Kansas State both sent coaches to the game (and I believe they did), then the recruiting process is still going on. That was my point. That's a fact.

I'm not surprised that you would have trouble distinguishing between the two.

Landry Jones was horrible. He only threw for 2700 yards and 23 TDs. He could have been an MSU quarterback with those pathetic numbers.

Did you really make a post just to oppose me? Even when you had no valid point?

I'm flattered and all ... but ... what am I supposed to say? Thanks?

Thank you, Req. I appreciate the attention you give me. Thank you.

The Rivals guy is clearly skeptical about Newton to KSU. That's pretty clear when he states:

Been here five minutes and have already been told by that there "No way Newton is going to visit K-State". Hope the game is entertaining.
I suppose the guy could be overly sarcastic or pessimistic, but reading what that guy has to say makes it sound like Kansas State is out.
